I was so overdue for some time off! ... sm

I switched from IC to employee status over 4 years ago. I knew it was going to be a pay cut, but I had no health insurance and had not had a decent vacation in 17 years, so I felt it was time. I have no regrets. I work 30 minutes longer each day to make the money I was making before - no big deal - and I have PAID vacation! And the work doesn't pile up while I'm gone (making me feel like I never should have taken time off in the first place)!

Being an IC was great when I had a child at home and my needs were different, but today being an employee again is just great.

I agree with the other poster, though, so much of it depends on finding the right company. Good luck!
