 hi.  for one thing FTPs were not designed for storage.  I am sure they only have a certain amount of quota storage space available either and whether they say they are encrypted or not, they are still open to hackers through the ports.  they may not be able to view the encrypted files, but that does not mean they cannot gain access.  this is totally against HIPAA regulations.  I would personally think that the files would be much more protected on your own computer what with firewalls and the like.  I have a second hard drive where I store my files monthly.  you could make one folder for the audio files and one for your documents.  they would be much safer there and they would still be able to retrieve them if they would only ask.  I also have storage provided by my web host for any needed files.  if they have a web site, they probably have storage space allocated by their web host, as well.  It seems pretty standard these days.  It would be much safer than leaving it on the FTP.  Just some suggestions.  good luck.
