In Reply to: I've been saying this for years. Unfortunately, - sm

so my suggestion to every MT is to do SOMETHING AT THE SAME TIME!  Whether it be talk as you say, or really do SOMETHING, like stop typing, stop editing, stop EVERYTHING!  I could just about guarantee that if ALL MTs stopped everything..... in a very short period of time the national companies would have to make contracts/concessions to get their backlog of work/editing, whether it was off-shore or VR, done.  The industry cannot go on like it is, but ALL mts have to pitch and make an ALL OUT effort to accomplish this.  Kind of like a strike, smoke out, whatever you want to call it.  IT CAN BE DONE and in a not so long period of time, as most MTs think.  As I have said before, these companies HAVE to meet their turnaround or JOINT COMMISSION, JCAHO I believe are the correct initials, will be on the back of the hospital, which in turn will make the national company jump through hoops so they don't lose their accounts!
