How funny - I've worked in Thibodeaux, Houma, NOLA, =
and almost had a brief spot out in the backwoods town that still uses tapes for their hospital dictation.

To formerNOLA who asked about Houma...

When my friend was is Houma earlier this week, some of Houma had electricity and some of them did not.  I do not know the latest though.  If I hear anything else, I will let you know.

That's so funny - I worked in Thibodeaux
and stayed in Gray for three months! Best hospital I've ever worked in was in Thibodeaux, Louisiana
It's not just MT affected

by outsourcing.....this is truly happening. There are also radiology reports being read offshore....just food for thought. Go to this link: http://www.ibnlive.com/news/india/04_2007/after-bpo-its-medical-outsourcing-39239.html

lawsuits have not affected my job
and probably never will. Lawsuits do not impune guilt any more than your comments do. Being delisted had nothing to do with guilt, but lack of certain paperwork being filed in a timely fashion, which also has a logical explanation, not that you care. Their billing problems are small in comparison to the company as a whole. Their business practices are great. How many other companies have people begging their jobs back? How many have employees for 10-15 yr or more? Maybe happy MQ'ers irritate you, but there are a lot more of us!!
there are only certain filers affected by this.
The IRS announced there will be no delay to the start of the filing season, and most tax filers will receive their refunds without delay. However, while the IRS updates its systems, refunds will be delayed for customers with one or more of the following credits:

Education Credits
Residential Energy Credits
Mortgage Interest Credit (very uncommon)
District of Columbia First-Time Homebuyer Credit (very uncommon)
The IRS will start issuing refunds for those filers beginning February 11th.

is it possible the accounts are affected by Katrina?
Many large hospitals and clinics in those three states are not running right now and so there would be no dictation coming in?
Affected my paycheck - a verb
