you are representing your employer and I must say your attitude isn't saying much for her.

    Would her name be Connie?
    If so, good luck!
    MQ recruiting
Does that mean that MQ has let all the regional recuriters go and now are using an outside source??? Again, is this one of their ways to save money?
MQ using new recruiting firm. sm

Anyone else get a totally unsolicited letter from a recruiter?  The initial letter sounded wonderful, lots of promises, great bennies, etc., no company name.  When I wrote and asked for information, it turns out this person is recruiting for MQ and singing their praises.  When I said I would not work for MQ, as they offshore, her reply was:

"There are many companies who outsource overseas, I am curious how you found out which ones do and which don't.  I cannot think of any national who does not source overseas outside of MedQuist's new changing."

Personally, with all the lawsuits, MQ had no choice left but to change.  Cheating clients, cheating MTs, sending work offshore and the list goes on.  And this person thinks we are too dumb to figure all this out.  I mean, how in the world could any of us possibly know or be concerned about what MQ has done!  It's insulting.  The fact is, this person is ill-informed. There are many nationals who do not outsource offshore and who have taken an oath not to.  Also, many clients are writing clauses into their contracts that the work is not to be offshored.  MQ thinks we are a bunch of idiots. That has always been a big mistake on their part.

WHY is MQ recruiting on MTJobs...
when people in Amherst have NO WORK??? What's up with THAT?

    They were actively recruiting...
not too long ago and I think have a recent ad up one of the boards. Sorry to hear you're out of work, but I wonder why they were hiring if work is low?? Glad to hear about it now, though, as I was considering them and in contact about a possible position!
Could you elaborate? Are these people recruiting, or what? - nm

Agree! When I was recruiting, CMT did not impress me
I strictly went by test scores and experience as usual. It also did not make a difference in the pay rates I offered. In fact, I often offered more to the MTs without CMTs if they did better on the test and had more experience.
They are a recruiting firm, but they represent some

of the same companies that post ads here.   They make it sound like they have a client base of all the MT companies, you apply with them and they match you with the company that best suits your needs, but they only represent a  few companies, and they may or may not be a good fit for you.  If you reject an offer with the company they refer you to you never hear from them again.   You don't get a better rate going through TM.

    They are a legitimate though.

those are ads for recruiting - not traveling transcription positions
Kforce put the ads out to attract travelers. I worked for Kforce for 2 years. It was up and down with the work. My health insurance would get cancelled 10 days after an assignment ended, unless Kforce had another assigment to go to immediately. There were times I did not have for up to 3 months. There is always good and bad with a job. Unfortunately, I needed something steady and with insurance, so this wasn't for me.
