The smoke clears (smoke and mirrors). I would say that anything LESS than 6cpl is too low, and THAT is pretty low anyway. Most transcription is base on the 'standard line' which is 65 characters AND spaces. Meaning, the spaces are also counted as a character because spaces are a keystroke. Keep in mind that 22% of a report will be spaces. That is a big number. You need more info before you decide, or tell them you will accept 6cpl (or 7 if you are brave), based on a 65character line with spaces counted also. Don't sell yourself short.
