it is hard like you say, especially since that's probably just what they want - to get everyone riled up and upset. We are better than that !

I promised myself I would not antagonize the almighty know-it all's that keep attacking poor innocent posters with vicious rude remarks. It only keeps it going. Even though I would really like to tell a couple of them off, and one in particular. Let 'em starve, I guess. Maybe they will go away eventually.

LOL, that's sweet! You reminded me of
a dictation I had today. This radiologist was talking like he was gushing love all through his transvaginal ultrasound report. I had to ask myself if this dictation was for real (hadn't transcribed for him before)! Then, his next dictation was all gushy too, and it was a renal ultrasound on a man, so what a treat, huh?!!! I can actually type really fast to it!

You know, your post reminded me of the fact that...
people in general think doctors are here to serve us as humanitarians, as if they don't have a right to make money being a doctor. It's as if they are evil if they want to make money at their profession. Last time I checked, people who attend medical school are often spending their own money (6 figures plus), taking out loans, or working hard to qualify for a scholarship, and why shouldn't they make money after they finish all that schooling? Now if the govt wanted to pay their training, some doctors could choose that route and be happy with the reimbursement the govt. deems fair. I think that will ultimately be the only way we will come up with a medical care system for those who cannot afford insurance. In the UK you can choose govt care or private insurance. In Canada you are not allowed to practice medicine privately without HUGE penalties. A complicated matter, for sure.
I too am reminded of a story, and a comment
I was transcribing a doctor's dictation in his office. He was walking by while I was listening to something garbled. I put the transcriber on speaker and asked him what he was saying. He could not figure it out! He gave me some other sentence to put in there. Sadly, his dictation never improved after that.
My comment: While working in the hospital we often could pick out some of the best docs by the way they dictated, we could also pick out the worst ones. Most of the time we were right.

Trolls need to be outed.
Call it as I see it -- you must be the originator of that nasty reply to someone seeking help. The MQ board is getting ugly and this won't be the first website to crash and burn because mods let the trolls in and the decent people didn't speak up against them.
Seen it happen all over. Been to mtchat.com lately??? TOTALLY ruined. Mean cliques, nothing but rah-rah-rah for 2 of the schools, lies abound, it's kaput.

I would love to feed BARF and have tried in the past, but it confused me, read 3 books on it, but I was always afraid I wasn't using enough of the right ingredients and being a vegitarian the meat handling was a lot for me to deal with. I also subscribe to the Whole Dog Journal, great magazine. Would love to have a sheltie in the future. I have an American Eskimo right now who I love dearly and 3 cats, feed all of them Evo with fresh chicken nightly. Glad others here are aware of the terrible ingredients of commercial companion animal food. Thanks for sharing.

Do you find them helpful if you have to call? Do they return phone calls promptly? Do they come in and set it up, or do you have to? I'd appreciate any info and feedback about their services. Thanks!
