unplugging the footpedal from the computer, rebooting without it plugged in, and then re-plug it once the computer is running. It may not be recognizing it. you can also go into My Computer, Control Panel, and I believe it is Game or Joystick Controls. You may find something in there to help your 'puter recognize the footpedal. good luck.
