Landing that first job is very hard, you have to be determined and persistent. Keep testing everywhere and anywhere you can. You might also want to try cold calling local MTSOs (that is how I got my second job, hired over the phone and given a 3-month probation trial period). It took me 2 months --this was 5 years ago-- to land my first job which was internet based(another 2 month to actually start though). I just tested my butt off until I got lucky. Yes, it is discouraging but you just have to keep at it. I don't know if there are more people trying MT now than there were 5 years ago (suspect it is) so you have to try extra hard to succeed.
