Sometimes there are no shortcuts. Even with your background, it will be hard to find a decent job at home. You may get on with Medquist or the like. But again, no longer a good job. You might try to gather some local accounts on your own and do at home. But if i were you, i'd consider re-opening the office with a daycare area in the office and help hired specifically for that, and/or open your chiropractic there at the home (set up garage) or something. I've been at this over 30 yr, and still the best way is under another's wing, being mentored in a hospital or office setting before you try working at home. Good luck to you.

Well my dear...
we may be dried up old hags, but at least our brains are still working, and that's more than you can say.  Can you spell delusional?  Don't bother coming back in a year -- no one will believe a word you say!  I feel sorry for your kids....they are the ones who will suffer for your stupidity and naivety.
Oh dear
Nichole, I am sorry.

It did not dawn on me when I responded to your H&P question that it could have been HNP in another context. While these two words have completely different meanings, without having context to go with it I was mistaken.
dear lilworried
thanks for that post. I know there's a long road ahead for those who are just starting out and I am willing to do whatever it takes, I am happy to read that there's someone out who is really earning a decent living. Thanks
not as easy as it looks, my dear...

there's a reason why most MT's don't have their own accounts. It's a bear to figure it out. Do you have the nerve to cold call on 20 to 50 offices? Have you, as of yet, even started on an informational brochure to leave? Have you found a source to let you know who the new doctors are in the area?  You say, "I might as well get my own accounts if I have to do so much footwork," but let me ask you, what have you done yet? It takes a lot of self-starting to be an MTSO. No one will babysit you through it. You will have to find the creativity to get started and find out what works. If you would "love to receive all my files off the internet," pretend you have a client who has offered you the work. Then research the options, figure out how you would do it, right down to HIPAA recommendations, prices, and how you are going to get that account covered when you take your kids to Florida on spring break, and then you might have a chance. I have heard it many times "I would love to have my own business," but most people won't take step 1. Good luck .

I would love any advice on how to start up my own accounts.  I'd love to receive all my files off the internet.  Any advice...... Please

Dear Sue - there used to be many different boards on this forum
but most were eliminated due to it becoming overwhelming for Dear Administrator. So that's why you will see ramblings on the Main Board - other boards were absorbed here.
No, dear. I wouldn't dream of commenting
on your "typo". It's more fun just to let it sit there and speak for itself.

Besides, you're just not worth the effort.
