Don't sell yourself short

I am glad you were happy with your Allstate experience, but there are companies out there that hire new grads and provide full QA and excellent feedback and training and you do not have to pay them for it; they pay you. Some even pay hourly for training and provide a good cpl afterward.

If you went to a decent school and have the basic skills, do not sell yourself short. The more graduates that accept these no-pay or low-pay positions, the more there will be of them and consequently, fewer opportunities for graduates with good educations to make a livable wage.

Another short cut is . . .
You can cycle around the Alt-F3 shortcut combination as well, which will make all caps no caps, no caps initial caps, and initial caps all caps.

i agree, and just a short added note,
when i went searching for my first job, my grandma (unbeknownst to me) talked to her podiatrist, who offered me a job. I thought, crud, i wouldn't learn much there! but it was a start and i took the job. They were great doctors, it was a fun and learning experience. 32+ years later i marvel at how so many MTs don't have the podiatric terminology that i was lucky enough to get early on. That job was definitely not a waste of time. You can always move on if that first job doesn't help you along your path, but get your foot in the door when you can (barring scam companies of course).
A wav file is not short for waveform. It is a voice
file that you would receive over the internet, not via C-phone.  You need software/foot pedal to be able to play the wav files.  Wav is pretty much the generic term, but there are many different formats, like mp3, DSS, etc. that the files could be in.
Do not short yourself on the most important part of your career
You will be sorry if you try take the easy way out. Trust me, been there. After wasting 1 year and lots of money at one program, I went to the college and received excellent training. I graduated with straight A's on both programs.
Short for waveform.....type of sound file.

Yes, and we have a bridge we would like to sell you too
If you had to put some proof to all that you just said, we'd be looking at lots of blank space where there used to be writing. In other words, balderdash! Your message lacks credibility. I hope that anyone considering doing what you recommend thinks about it very carefully and then rejects those ideas. Most of us know that we see people following advice like this crying on boards every day because they don't know how to transcribe and nobody will test or hire them.
Looks like "resume" wants to sell you a flyer
Judging from the "email me for more info . . . resume@something.dot," Resume is going to have lots of flyers they can sell you. Or be selling some list of speech pathologists, or psychologists, all of whom are DESPERATE to pay you to do their typing, or some sort of software, or some sort of work-at-home opportunity in which you, too, will scavenge internet boards for people who need flyers and resumes, etc., etc.

This makes me wonder if this person is really an MT of they're just scavenging.

Instead of a flyer, send a professional letter with a professional-looking business card to medical, offices in your area. Use the FREE resource, the telephone book. As you will be working alone, you should aim for small offices.

Professional people respond well to professional people. Approach your clients in a professional manner. Your letter is going to be their "sample" of your work, so make it look like what they want their letters to look like.

You can work up a brochure to include with the letter, if you would like, but please don't do flyers. Don't stick anything under doors or on windshields. Use the US Mail.

Mean is the schtick the MT schools sell ya...sm
"you can make $40,000 a year working from home!" and then you pay your thousands of dollars to get out and find out no one will hire you without experience.
You may not sell used Microsoft products here.
Please see the notice at the top of the Classifieds board.

If no takers from this message try eBay. These sell very well there! nm
.
company is trying to sell you the software/equipment
it is a scam, not requiring the software/equipment.  The company can offer payroll deduction, but an outright you must buy this from me first is a big red flag.
I meant sell the school or just her company. nm

Career Step will sell their course to anyone with the money, regardless if they will ever be capable
of doing MT work or not, regardless of how poor their command of the English language is or how poor their spelling skills are.
Didn't she sell it, or just your company to an offshore company. The woman

has a screw loose.
