Dont go with TRS

I went there and they constantly change teachers (I had 5!) and promised me a job when I was done and then didnt deliver. They never answer questions and it is just not worth it.

I dont know
good question though
i dont regret...
not just for an MT job, but in all jobs.

i've had to put my son in daycare and yes, i paid all expenses (single mom), but i wanted a place where he would have fun and not stress out on me and vice versa. it was not fair for both of us to be stressing one another out.

working any job, knowing that your child is in good hands, puts the mind at ease and you can actually concentrate on your work. you come home with the feeling of satisfaction, and you can now concentrate on the child in a more relaxed way.

if you work at home, dont feel guilty that your child is not there, you're working and you need to concentrate on work just like you would if you were working outside the home.

tell your husband to relax because now that you can concentrate on making your lines, you'll be able to produce more.

good luck
Dont give up...
I might add I did eventually get a job I have been with for 8 months now so don't give up.
I dont think it went through, cannot find it even in my spam. Nm

Dont' be so hard on youself
I never heard of the top three MT schools until I was well into Meditec. When I graduated I did not even make minimum wage with my first job (but I got a job right away). My first two week paycheck was less than $75 and I put in full time work. I spent a lot of time looking things up and double checking myself. Also, my research techniques and proofreading skills were stumbling blocks for me back then. Improving those two things sped me up tremendously.

I'm doing okay now. So, if I can do it, so can you! You will get much better over time. The more experience you get, the better you will be. You might consider ShortHand or some other expander. That is a help. However, my best friend is the Stedman Plus Medical Dictionary. I love that.

Good luck to you. Hang in there. We all struggle in the beginning.

God Bless.
Sure, just dont hold your breath when you do.

Dont waste your money on TRSI
Terrible school that takes your money and doesn't teach you anything or answer questions. I didn't learn anything and still can't get a job. I'm going to have to start over and will probably to go to MTEC or Medline. Jeni
