you want to work in an office.  I think this is a great way to gain experience.  Depending on where you live, naturally do online job searches, but give particular attention to the customary once weekly local newspaper telling what's happenin around town; jobs included. Usually small physician neighborhood practices looking for med help, which as a med. secretary you would be definitely exposed to some transcribing, and I bet if  you expressed interest in more, your wish would be granted.  Just be determined to make it work.  Set it as 1 of  your top 3 priorities.  Expect to dedicated extra time in the beginning with abbrev/expanders, et cetera.  It will pay off in the months to come big time.  Things in life don't just happen.  We can and do make them happen..
