I say go for it.

I have been doing this for 6+ years now.  I had a hard time breaking into this field.  Everyone wants experience and noone wants to give it to you.  If you have a job offer, I say take it.

I am not an accountant but I know I have deducted portions of my heating, electric, and even internet bills on my taxes every year.  Hubby and I have always received a return in April so when I started as an IC my accountant left it up to me... I could either pay quarterly or just wait it out until April and get less back (I was only working PT at the time so was income was not a lot).   That is what we decided to do so I did not worry too much about taxes.  I am not sure of your situation and if you file single or joint tax returns.  Just wanted to give you something else to think about.   At any rate... I still say take the job and get the experience.  You could always switch jobs after getting that experience that everyone wants.
