No training? Almost impossible in this day and age--especially in a work-from-home job. The demand used to be high enough that people could start out (usually in-house jobs though) without training. Now there appears to be a surplus of new MTs, of which many have trouble finding jobs because they have no experience. There are internships, but those are even for people already trained. It is realistic for a very experienced MT to make that amount of money, but it is absolutely not realistic for a newbie, especially with no training.

You probably won't believe us, as way too many people believe this is a profession you can just pick up and do...but it isn't. Trust me, we're not trying to be mean...just realistic.

Your master's won't help you in this field other than probably having a good grasp on grammar.
