Thanks for the input...
Maybe I will have to set up something in my bedroom or in the basement.
thanks for the input
but that doesn't help me at all.
THanks for the input BUT
I was asking if I can expect to to 900-1200 lines as a P/T IC in the future. I am working like a fiend and just want some reassurance that it is going to get less time comsuming. I see other companies with line requirements of 5000-6000 lines a week for FT and that is what I am almost doing for P/T.
Thanks for the input
I had 8 different sets of dictation that I had to do for them. Nothing else yet. Do they send a written part after evaluating your dictation/transcription?

Shawna- Congrats!!!
Thank you for the input...
if I find out any new information, I'll be sure to post it.
Some input on the AHP issue
I am an MTSO. I hire MTs. I have learned through bitter experience that applicants who received their training through PCDI or AHP do not have sufficient skills to perform at a level I consider acceptable, so I no longer even bother to test them. It is a waste of their time and mine. I am not aware of any MTSOs in my area who look favorably on applicants "trained" by AHP or PCDI.

You will hear from a few people who say they became employed with substandard training. They were not hired by me or by anyone I know in the MT business.

Just my $0.02.
thanks for this input endiqua! nm

NEWBIES - I need some input/info
I read an article in the Baltimore Business Journal about offshoring, and without getting into too much detail about the article I would like to send a follow up article back to the Baltimore Journal.

Basically the AAMT representative stated in the article that "younger workers are not lining up to enter the profession." And that the median age for a transcriptionist is 48-50 years of age. I find this to be quite untrue, and I hope to be able to get information to back that up.

I would like to know what school program/course you attended, where you attended, and your age, and anything else you may want to add to help me with a "rebuttle" on the perks of offshoring. I have left my email address.
Thank you

Thanks all for your input! It helps alot in my decision making! nm

Can I ask how document formation will input your decision? Seems like a sideways way
