checked out the profession before taking the courses. 


Put your resume on all the various job boards.  There are companies that will not post a job opening, but they will contact people from their resumes, so you need to have it out there.  There is no guarantee that you will be successful this way, but it doesn't cost anything and you never know.   The last time I was job hunting I did this and was contacted by 5 or 6 companies that I have never seen ads posted for openings. 


Contact local doctor's offices/hospitals/clinics to see if they have any openings.


There are companies that will offer you work for practically nothing.  There are companies who offer internships, but a lot of these are scams so you need to be careful and ask about any company on the company board so you don't get sucked in.
