I was once scammed out of $500 + on a medical billing job. After filing with the BBB, I decided that I wasn't going to rest at that. I filed with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and althought it tooks months, I did receive a partial refund, as well as others that ended up filing too. The company had formal charges brought about, etc. Perhaps you could Google the FTC and see where you can go from there. At the very least, you may get a partial refund and hopefully the more charges that are filed, the gov't will end up looking very closely at them and hopefully shut them down. Hope this helps some.
