You are very dramatic, Amanda...

No one implied that you were awful.  It is simply your opinion that a particular school is bad.  You have every right to say that, but it does not make it true for every person.  What is bad for you, may not be bad for the next person.  Keep that in mind.

Thank You Amanda
You're absolutely right.  It doesn't matter how "good" the supposed instructors are if you don't get the materials with which to transcribe.  And if the company truly is that honorable, why do they not respond to my emails or deal with my request for a reimbursement?  I have messages from five other people, printed, that had the same problems as I.  So she's right about one thing - there IS only one bad apple.  But it's not me.  I have lots of apples on my side.
for Amanda,,,s/m

Thank you for your email.  But I am not a newbie anymore.  I have a job, but looking around for something better or to stay updated. Thanks.

I understand that EvCC students get access to the CS forums, as every one can. However, as an EvCC student, you are not able to take part in the Spheris Training Track and the new partnership with Focus Infomatics that is being put into place. That is true.

I recommend CS because I am a graduate from there and also an affiliate member. I think it is a great opportunity for some where as EvCC might be a better opportunity for others for certain reasons.

I am all for quality MT training, whereever one can get it. My personal experience is with CS and I like to help others know that the same can be true for them.
Amanda, you know what? I sat here all weekend thinking about offering Lisa an IC position (sm)

that might be able to help her out, as I work in 12-hour TATs, but the more I saw the posts left from her, the more I chose not to get involved.  I come to this board for the specific reason of offering help, as I feel anyone who truly needs a break should be given the opportunity.  However, Lisa has made it blatantly clear that the only opportunity she wants is on HER terms and I actually feel slighted that I was willing to take a chance with someone who comes across the way she has.

Also, I am offended by the fact that Lisa states her first job is "Mom," as if mine is not.  Yes, I do WORK as an MT and I work hard at it, but I also am there for every single aspect of my children's lives, including class mother, PTA chairperson, basketball, softball, baseball, dance, etc.  I work hard daily for the balance (without the benefit of my wonderful husband) and I MAKE it work for all of us and for that I am rewarded and blessed.  How dare someone even critique my abilities, especially as a mother.
