way to go to MT school and get a job (ahem** excuse me, that would be a-job-right-out-of-school-without-even-testing).

Better lose the attitude or you won't keep any job

You are getting a diva attitude with SM
nothing to back it up at your current service.  Good luck finding a job at a company working the way you want to work.  I was trying to help you see the reality of the industry, but it seems that you would rather not see it.
Hardly a diva attitude.
I am glad to say that my family takes the #1 spot and that they don't have the backseat. I feel sorry for anyone's children who have to come in second place to a job, whether or not the parent is a nice person.

I am glad to say at least I have the common sense to tell employers these are the only hours I can work. If I told them I would be available anytime for a job knowing full well I wouldn't, that would be ignorant. I try to find a happy medium so I am not shafting my kids and so that I won't be letting down my employer and shafting them as well.

If I wanted a soap opera I would turn on the T.V. Condescending people like you don't even need to be posting here. I asked for opinions. I didn't ask for someone to give me attitude, which is what most of you have done. Almost every newbie I have seen posting here on this board has gotten some kind of lip from some MT that doesn't seem very nice, happy, whatever. And its ridiculous! Are you a teenager or an adult that cannot have a civilized conversation without throwing a jab here and there??

At any rate, all I did was ASK for a backup and said what type of account I would like to be put on. And yes, I DID get ticked off when I got something completely different. This is the time that I put in that is not spent with my family and I make sure I do a good job on each and every report I do. I am proud to say I work hard and have done the best I can to get where I am at this point. I don't think it is out of the way to expect employers to be honest; I ASKED for a certain account. I didn't pester or beg, I wasn't rude or mean about it. And I explained to them why. They could have said no, but they told me that they had an account that was similar to the one I was on and that they would put me on it. I would have been fine had they said no; I would have just looked for something part-time elsewhere.

I am sorry, but if working hard and standing up for what you believe in is what is called being a diva these days, then I guess I am.
a lot of newbies seem to have an entitlement attitude...sm

I paid the money, I went to school, therefore you HAVE to give me a job. You wouldn't believe it.
