in the workplace, in society at large. The complainers tend to make the most noise. If you are doing what you like, you can certainly be happy. This used to be a more lucrative business, but it is still a good one for many. You can work in an office, a hospital, a clinic, at home, via laptop, etc etc. However, in a hospital you will probably get the best on-the-job help/training to supplement your formal training, and get better perks, vacation, raises, etc. What $ you make can very much vary, by employment, your natural speed and mostly your knowledge. There are still good employers for MTs and yet you likely won't get rich at this. But yes, i believe there are plenty of happy MTs out here.
