And some of my viewpoints

I wish everyone the very best for the new year. I wish Mr. Obama all the best when he takes office. As they say "Lord only knows he's going to need it". It's going to be a rough ride ahead and I hope everyone has their seatbelts strapped on.

In response to your post:

1. You know what? I don't understand why anyone would vote for the democrat party. Many reasons too numerous to mention but basically their ideals in general. They (most of them) are okay with socialism. I am not. I joined the service at at that time our enemy was Russia. Times are different now and maybe socialism is the way our country is headed, but I honestly think it's going to be hard for me to adjust, but adjust I will. The republicans are not anything like the Chinese Communist Party and to say something like that shows complete ignorance about the republican party. Sure there are some bad ones in the party, but there are also some really bad ones in the democrat party too. I'm neither democrat or republican. I voted for the constitution party this past election (even though I voted for Obama in the primaries). You are taking one issue (birth control) and are saying the republicans are like communists because of that? That just does not make sense and is ludicrous. I don't agree with a lot of the republican parties ideas, but I also certainly don't agree with a lot of the democrat's ideas. I also agree with some of the republicans ideas and I agree with some of the democrats ideas. It all depends on the issue.

Gun control? In other words you don't believe in the Second Ammendment of the Constitution. Which goes without saying by your post you don't believe in the Constitution either and are one of many who would like to see it destroyed.

The right to bear arms is a basic right written into the constitution by our founding fathers. "Citizens have a constitutional Right to Bear Arms under both Federal and State Constitutions". For you to think this should be taken away is sedition. What do you mean "No one needs anything more than a hunting rifle (if that) in their home. Period". Do you have a degree in Criminal Justice. No! Have you been to a police academy. No! Have you been to any type of professional organization that studies criminal behavior. No! I have! What gives you the audacity to say what anyone needs or doesn't need to protect themselves. Maybe you live in a part of the country where bad language will scare off criminals. many of us do not. You know where crime decreases - in the area where people know that others have personal firearms or other ways to protect themselves. That's just a plain fact. Here were I live we have had several home robberies and they occur on a weekly basis. The people who have guns and were able to protect themselves from intruders were the ones who were not injured and lived. The others who had nothing were not so lucky. I don't know where you get your information from (probably MSNBC), but as they say... "you can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead fingers".

Health care - so who pays for the health care for the people who don't pay? I can't even remember the last time I saw or read an article that someone here died from lack of health care "right in our midst". Another bleeding heart liberal proposing more taxes to the middle income to pay for those who don't pay into the system (the rich certainly is not going to pay any more). If there are American citizens who have worked in their lives and paid taxes, but lost a job, or for whatever reason is unemployed by all means those people should receive some form of health care, but there are ways they can pay it back when they are able to. Why should I have to pay double what I usually pay because my neighbor who is able to get a job but won't, he and his family go the ER and get free health care. Why is it fair that I'm barely paying my bills, and sometimes not even able to pay some of my bills but now I've got to pay extra if I have to go to the ER or doctor so others don't have to. Yes, the health care system is flawed and someone needs to find a solution but tell me where its fair that we have to pay more so they don't have to pay any. You know I really hope Obama's administration will be able to do something to better the system. We sure need it. I pay $300 a month for health care and you know what I get in return. Nothing! I have to pay the first $10,000 (each year) before the insurance company will pay anything. So basically I have no health insurance, only catastrophic.

I am against the death penalty too. But I am for stricter laws against criminals. Here in our town there is not enough money to keep the criminals in jail. Hence they are being let back out in our town, and getting picked up over and over and over for the same crimes. At the store around the corner the guy has been robbed I don't even know how many times. Finally he got a gun and the last time they tried to rob him he was able to protect himself and the customers in his store and the perpetrator left.

Your viewpoints are everything I fought against when I joined the military. It goes to show you we do have enemies in our own country out to destroy the basic values our country was founded upon. It's a shame there are so many like this, but my values will never change, and that my dear is what I am thankful for this year.

He's a global guy who gets around, listens to all viewpoints,
makes a plan and goes out and sells it. That's what presidents do. BC 1992 to 2000. He should know a thing or two, like him or not. Consider 10 million per month in Iraq slashed by 25% = 2.5 million per month, line by line review of federal spending, eliminating the unnecessary, streamlining efficiency. Not a bad start for the first 100 days. Just my 2 cents.
Presenting differing viewpoints is not bashing
Its called balanced news.  Liberals cannot stand when the other side presents their viewpoint.  They call it bashing.  It's because they had a monopoly for years in news, but now that has eroded away.
