In Reply to: Nowadays, anything that comes before a court - becomes political

... anything not ''green enough'' is political, from the type of grocery bag you choose the car you drive, how you landscape your yard, your laundry detergent, etc.  The abortion issue is certainly political.  Gay marriage is political.  Animals (the rights to them, and the rights of them) are political.  Education is political.  sex is political.  Now banking and manufacturing are political.  What you earn and how you earn it are becoming political.

As long as we have politicians willing to suck up to and endorse the agenda of any group (sometimes working both sides of an agenda)  in order to gain votes and campaign contributions, every issue that might be legislated or adjudicated is political.... and newsworthy as far as that other branch of government (the press) is concerned.
