Corrupt Obama caught in the act.

How's this for abuse of power?

While in the Illinois State Senate, Barack Obama sure seems to have played footloose and fancy free with the taxpayer's money, to the benefit of his own circle of family and friends.

A $25,000 grant to his first cousin.

$100,000 for a garden for one of his campaign workers

$100,000 for Father Pflager to badmouth Hillary Clinton from his pulpit.

$75,000 to FORUM, a group who helped Obama pay off the debt from his failed 2000 Senate race.

Yeah, THIS is the guy I'm going to trust with 'changing' the way government does business.

Obama is most definitely corrupt.

I agree....you should have seen Glen Beck last night.  Barack Obama is not the person who should be president.  The very idea of him being president terrifies me.

Obama caught red handed.....

He finally said the words "SPREAD THE WEALTH" when asked by a plumber about raising his taxes.  THe plumber told him he could not afford to have his taxes raised because that would keep him from being able to expand his business, EMPLOY more folks, etc.  Obama told him yes he would but ONLY to help "spread the wealth" and make it fairer for others.  That man couldn't care less about small businesses.  If that isn't about the most ignorant/self-absorbed/SOCIALIST thing I have ever heard.  Anyone who still thinks he's a good deal needs a reality check.

Even the Wall Street Journal says his policies are going to put businesses OUT OF BUSINESS because they cannot afford these ridiculous policy mandates.  This man is looking out for only one people and definitely NOT the country.   Now, he is going back and asking his "advisors" to REDO ANOTHER ECONOMIC POLICY so the one everyone is jumping on as WONDERFUL NEWS...be advised, it is changing again!!!

He is now wanting MORE money to give to MORE people so we can keep MORE PEOPLE on the welfare roll.  KEEP IT UP BUDDY.....SOCIALISM, SOCIALISM, SOCIALISM!!

Rich does not mean corrupt........

No, but Illinois citizens are so used to corrupt
even this guy has suddenly made them stand up and take notice...... what a sorry crook! He'd probably sell his mother for a buck.
All this corruption is fueled by the corrupt

The problem is corrupt organizations
When you have organizations outside city hall going out on the streets and registering people, even the homeless and even those names who are deceased, this sets up a perfect storm for voter fraud. Now, when you have a group such as ACORN which has already had many members indicted of voter fraud, continuing to do this, this will continue to happen.

Matter of fact, over 2500 proven voter fraud registrations have been proven in Indiana as of today. And there will be many many more to come. Democratic election officials are calling them out on this, unlike the "pubs" some ignorant on this board want to believe. Their own democratic officials are blowing the whistle on this and do not understand why this is not being investigated. Corruption all the way to the top is why it is not being investigated. They are now finding this in several other states where ACORN sends out folks, anyone, to coerce people into voting, even if they have already voted.

But those wanting Obama in office do not care that this is taking place, because they know if they want him in office, fradulent voters will have to get him there.

Poll: Which is the most corrupt state?

Illinois Is Trying. It Really Is. But the Most Corrupt State Is Actually . . .

3 different criteria based on verifiable facts were used:  Convicted public officials, conviction per million residents per year and reporter scores.  Illinois failed to make even the top 5, coming in at 7, 22 and 10 respectively.

First Illinois. Now North Dakota.

Plenty of head scratching was happening at the state Capitol on Thursday after USA Today ran a story with the headline: "North Dakota tops analysis of corruption."

Where's Illinois federal prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald when you need him?

The story found that, based on the 53 federal public corruption convictions between 1998 and 2007 in North Dakota, there were 8.3 convictions per 100,000 people in the state - the most in the nation. Illinois had 3.9 per 100,000, according to the story, ranking it 18th overall.

A little context: North Dakota has about 640,000 people. Illinois has 12.8 million and 502 federal corruption convictions between 1998 and 2007.

As for North Dakota's company in USA Today's analysis: At No. 2 is Louisiana, with 7.7 convictions per 100,000 people, home to disgraced Democratic Rep. William Jefferson. And No. 3 is Alaska, with 7.5 convictions per 100,000 people, home to the recently convicted Republican Sen. Ted Stevens.

Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem called the article "patently ridiculous" on Thursday, adding among the most recent examples of high-profile federal convictions in North Dakota are the six Twin Butte school district members convicted of misusing school funds.

"I think everyone would agree that a group of local school board officials is far different than a governor accused of selling a U.S. Senate seat," said Stenehjem, referring to Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who federal authorities arrested on Tuesday for trying to profit off of President-elect Obama's vacated Senate seat.

He's the second Illinois governor to wind up with federal charges this decade.

As for the article in USA Today: "This is what happens when you have somebody who takes statistics and doesn't do any analysis or comparison or puts anything into context," Stenehjem said.

While U.S. Attorney Drew Wrigley was unavailable for comment Thursday, other state officials expressed their confusion over the corruption article.

"You gotta be kidding me," Secretary of State AL Jaeger said. "Boy, I've lived here all my life. I can't think of anybody who's been nailed for something."

Russell Mokhiber, Editor of the weekly Washington-based newsletter Corporate Crime Reporter, said his organization ran a similar story in 2004 that pegged North Dakota as a hotbed of public corruption, with 45 federal convictions between 1993 and 2002.

Columnist and former Lt. Gov. Lloyd Omdahl responded with a column in 2004 critical of the newsletter's finding, writing that many of those federal convictions stemmed from American Indian reservations, based on a letter he received from the state's U.S attorney.

"First of all, Indian reservation are not state entities, nor are they political subdivisions of the state, so employees of casinos are not public officials engaged in official public duties," Omdahl wrote.

In the Corporate Crime Reporter's 2007 report, Mokhiber said his newsletter only included the 35 most populated states because of the statistical unfairness on sparsely populated states like North Dakota. The report found that Louisiana, followed by Mississippi and Kentucky, are the country's most corrupt states.

"We learned from our mistake when we crunched our numbers," he said. "What your columnist wrote we took to heart; we agree that North Dakota is not the most corrupt state."

Dana Harsell, a University of North Dakota political science professor, said calculating corruption on a per capita basis isn't exactly fair for states like North Dakota.

"I'm not sure if it gives a true measure of the extent of corruption," Harsell said. "We have one of the most accessible open-access laws in the country."

As for corrupt North Dakota state officials, State Historical Society Editor Kathy Davidson could think of one outstanding North Dakota politician: Gov. William Langer.

He was convicted of federal corruption charges in the early 1930s for diverting federal funds to political matters. He was later exonerated of the charges, re-elected to the governor's office in 1935 and went on to the U.S. Senate and served there until 1959.

So what happened since then? "We've just got boringly honest," Davidson said.

GE corrupt and makes Watergate
http://www.foxnews.com/oreilly/

The O'Reilly Factor.

Will GE get paid for supporting President Obama. GE owns NBC is very aggressive for supporting Obama in the election and now attacking his critics and so on.
It'll only be a disaster (I HOPE!) for all the corrupt
it'll also be a 'disaster' for all the unscrupulous companies in the US that send our work to India. That kind of a 'disaster' has been long awaited, and eagerly anticipated.

US MTSO's better start re-thinking their pay scales, because hopefully their 'sacred' cash-cow (India) is about to run out o' milk.
Corrupt liberal democrat Governor arrested.
Of course no surprise here. Why is it every day we see nothing but corrupt liberal after corrupt liberal? This is good though. Why can't liberals just be honest? It only supports the theory that liberals are mentally derranged.
I caught that too.. Don't know if he
intended for it to come across the way I took it, but it felt like a dig to whites. Disappointing.
I caught that
I just can't stand to watch Keith talk about anything because he always misses the point.  That was my point, which you missed, just like Keith.
She wasn't *caught* in anything.
Stop lying.  You lose all credibility when you do that.
Biden Caught In A Lie

Biden caught in a lie

This really couldn’t have come at a worse time for Joe Biden. Speaking on Fox and Friends, Sen. Biden, the Democrat VP nominee denied reports from ABC news that if elected, he planned on pursuing criminal charges against the Bush Administration.

“That’s not true. I don’t know where that report’s coming from,” Biden told Fox & Friends.

Here you go Joe. See if this jogs your memory just a bit.

Poor old Joe. I expect the “Dump Biden” movement to pick up steam in the next few days.

h/t FreeRepublic

yeah, i caught that too.

I caught this last night. Wow,
Obama would be wise to find a place somewhere for Mr. Pickins as an energy advisor -- he's got it all figured out!!
Hmmm....why are you so caught up in what's on
--
I caught the nasty racist

little dig there.  I got that you were saying that Obama is ahead but his being black will doom him.  I didn't miss your sneaky way of signalling your fellow Rothschilds.

I caught this deceit during the last debate
When Obama was asked if he would sign the ban against partial-birth abortion he responded he would if there was a clause allowing it in cases where the mother's health was at risk. Those of us who lived through the ྂs will recall this jargon effectively legalized second-into-third-trimester abortions under any circumstances--A physician had only to sign a form stating the woman's mental health was in jeopardy. I remember the actual coercion involved as it happened to someone very close to me, and--hate to admit it--I worked in an abortion clinic for a short time. Planned Parenthood and other "pro-choice" organizations are in reality pro-killing mills that are allocated federal and state funding according to the number of abortions they perform. It's to their obvious benefit that they "counsel" women towards the termination of their pregnancies.

Obama is slick and tried to slide that one through unnoticed. Beware.
I think I hit a nerve because you get caught in errors often
...if you want to succeed in this business
I didn't really have an intention. That post just caught my eye. nm

I caught a clip of Bill O'Reilly
chewing Barney Frank a new butt during an interview.  He basically told him to claim the blame instead of trying to push it on others and called him a coward.  I was just sitting on the couch with my mouth open in shock.  I'm glad someone told the stupid SOB though.  Needless to say, Barney Frank didn't get to say much.  Also, if Barney Frank got all that money from these banks, why can't he afford to get some dentures on the top?  I can't stand to hear him talk.  PUT SOME TEETH IN!  SHEESH.
Caught parts of it today on MSNBC sm
Heard that she would not do the script they had planned for her. What snipits I saw were not that complimentary of her at all. Oh well, just curious, don't think she likes to be "caught up" in anything, ignoring interviews, etc. Couric made her look bad and Couric is for Obama, I believe. Just keeping eyes and ears open, not much time left to decide. Not looking good for her as of now.
Oh brother - it amazes me how many are caught up in a fantasy
.
You caught me, so that would make you Dickwad Cheney.
xx
Caught an ad-Barney Frank is going to be on O'Reilley
tonight or Thursday night? I think BF is a glutton for punishment. I hope, but doubt, BF will answer some questions instead of blowing smoke again.
Caught him on Larry King one night last week.
He's a very funny and intelligent man....
I especially enjoyed the real refreshing lie I caught him in the other day...did you catch it?
...no, guess not...no one in the media called him on it either.

Here, let me give you a hint. Obama said that all of the conservative and liberal economists agreed that his economy recovery plan was good (or would work, or something like that).

The lie being that "all the conservative economists" part.

That was one, big, fat, honking lie.....no one even blinked and took his word for it.

My DH says there's at least a half dozen conservative economists out there that don't agree with Obama...and yet....if Obama says they do....everyone believes him.

He lies and you don't even know it, he's so smooth about it.....

But some of us know he does...lie that is......he's getting real good at talking both sides of the issues, so that if something does or doesn't come to pass, he can say I told you so....or whatever needs to be said to save his you know whatsis.

I think he's learned a lot from the Clintons lately, don't you?
You caught me, I just "lurk" here waiting to pounce on you. Now who's paranoid?
I post when the discussion moves me or when I read something completely hilarious, like you who's who in Gay America list.
Fox News Caught Repeatedly Cropping, Manipulating Video

Hey, kids! Do you ever get tired of Fox News' crops? I don't mean the food
they might be literally growing, in Glenn Beck's Doom Room, in preparation for
Imminent Socialist Panic. I'm talking about the way they manipulate video to
make it look like people are just straight up saying the opposite thing they
actually said. Well, it's been bothering the media critics at Media Matters For
America for some time, and they have, for a long time, been cataloging "examples
of Fox News hosts and correspondents cropping comments by progressives and
Democratic political figures in a manner that misrepresents them." A new mash-up
video offers some side-by-side examples of what they're talking about.

Some constructive criticism? I think the third example -- Obama's "empathy"
criteria for Supreme Court justice -- isn't the best example of a Fox cropping.
While it's certainly true that Major Garrett's statement, "That aggravates those
who feel that justices should follow the Constitution and legislative intent,"
seems to neatly ignore the fact that Obama's next statement was "I will seek
someone who is dedicated to the rule of law, who honors our Constitutional
traditions, who respects the integrity of the judicial process, and the
appropriate limits of the judicial role," the fact is, just about every news
organization honed in on the "empathy" part of the statement. It became the
sound bite from that press exchange.

In a more lengthy report, however, Media Matters has other candidates that
are fitting examples of these games with videotape, well worth reviewing. Key
examples include Sean Hannity's intentional omission of Obama's admonishment of
Europeans' "casual...insidious" anti-Americanism to make it look like Obama was
apologizing for the United States, and Wendell Goler's splice-happy report that
made it look like Obama was in favor of "European-style health care," when he
was actually specifically opposing it. Also close to my heart is Fox's
misleading insertion of an out-of-context Joe Biden clip into a report, for
which the network eventually had to apologize. At the time, I opined:

It's very sad, and weird, because Fox News would have made their point just
fine if they hadn't included the misleading part of this clip. All they've
really done is demonstrate that they do not have enough faith in their own
editorial premises to avoid bolstering them with falsehoods. But more to the
point, whoever is responsible for putting this video together needs to accept a
new prevailing reality, that stupid little lies like this will be debunked and
exposed very quickly, so they may as well just cut out this nonsense
entirely.

Yet they persist!

CNN Rick Sanchez report on who really broke the cease fire, 01/07/2009

This post really makes me WANT to vote for Obama. I am undecided, but this pushes me closer to Obama
...Thanks for the info!
Obama was cool, while grouchy man steamed. Obama!!!
I'm so happy.  The dippy people on here who are haters and racists and mccain lovers must be so po'd today.  HAHAHAHAHAHA
If Obama gets elected, then it was meant to be! Go, Obama!
nm
Go Obama/Biden! I don't like it and will VOTE OBAMA/BIDEN!

Obama has shown great judgment in the people who surround him.  He picked a great VP choice, and his wife is impeccable as a helpmate and is a fantastic role model for the American children.

Obama

I believe Obama has an awesome political future.  He sure is a bright light, and he would be someone I would seriously consider voting for.

Someone I like even better is Rep. Harold Ford from Tennessee.  Every time I hear this man speak, I like him more and more and more.

I think there are lots of good candidates out there who don't fit the profiles you outlined, which I also believe to be true, and I think we're well overdue in considering those candidates because, in my opinion, what we've been offered in the last several elections -- on BOTH sides -- has been pretty pitiful.  The "box" isn't working, and it's time to look outside of it.

Obama is the man!!!
I think he will make an excellent president some day. Maybe Hillary/Obama would be a good ticket choice.

obama
FYI - he never attended a midrasha. This was later corrected.
Obama 08...nm

Obama et. al.

If we get Obama or any of the other candidates we will get more of the same. War and taxes. Empire building. If you like that kind of stuff, vote for any of the candidates EXCEPT.......... RON PAUL. The only candidate for peace, limited government and minding our own business.

Obama
As I posted on the other board, it is crazy that in one breath people are freaking out saying he is a Muslim, and in the next one, they are freaking out because of his stand on abortion. Being pro-choice really does not go with being a Muslim.

I like Obama, and I like his stance on choice. I really could care less if he is a Muslim. But, he belongs to a Christian church and has for over 20 years, before he had a political career.

People never cease to amaze me!
Obama
My husband just returned from Iraq, we support the war-- but if I had to vote democrat, definitely Obama, please!! But I vote republican, hee hee.
Go Obama!
What a great victory for Obama!

Did anyone see the Kennedy’s endorsement for Obama and his speech this morning? I have never been more excited and inspired in politics. In my life I’ve voted both sides (usually not voting for a candidate but rather voting for the other side as a vote against a candidate). I usually tune out in politics because of outright lies. Barack is the first candidate that I finally understand what he stands for, what his plans are, and he is someone who can connect with everyone in every walk of life. He is a trustworthy, inspiring, and humble person and his voting record and other aspects of his government life give me the confidence that he would be a great president. Listening to his speeches gives me hope for a better country/future for everyone.

I respect everyone’s choice for who they think would be a better president, but I’m sick to death of Clinton and what she stands for. All you have to do is read up on the history of her and what she did when she resided in Oakland California (who her mentors/ colleagues were and what her motives/plans are). She claims to have all this “experience” but doesn’t have it. She takes what her husband accomplished and if it was something good she claims credit to it and if it was bad she had nothing to do with it. Meanwhile her husband is so consumed/greedy (not sure which word best suits him – maybe consumed with greed) to get back into the white house that he is purposely destroying the opponents (even Ted Kennedy had to call and admonish him), but that is the Clinton legacy, destroying other people’s lives. Then when someone does call him on something he will point his finger at them in a threatening way and plays the victim role. It makes me ill just thinking of having someone as corrupt as both of them back in the white house.

If Bill was such a great president they should bring up all the great things that happened under his presidency, but we are not hearing any of it, why? Because there is none. In my opinion he was one of the worst presidents in history. Not one thing he did was for the good of the country. And if anyone believes that she was such a “good wife” while he was out messing around with other women think again. She had her mind set on being president a long time ago. She just uses him to get what she wants. Everything she does has always been calculated.

As for his presidency, I think people are forgetting….he lied under oath and he was impeached for it. Which brings me to another question…why does anyone believe anything he has to say now? Remember the phrase “that all depends on what the meaning of is, is”. Then there was Waco Texas – people were burned alive. But they called them members of a cult, so I guess that made it okay. Then let’s see…Somalia, Bosnia, Monica (and no it wasn’t just about having an affair with her or all the other women), receiving illegal contributions, Vince Foster, and the list goes on and on and on.

An article I just read said it better than I can….

“The problem for Hillary Clinton is that, as usual, she wants it both ways. She wants to be judged on her own merits and not be treated as Bill's Mini-Me. But she also wants to reap the benefits of Bill's popularity, and offers voters the reassuring suggestion that if there's a crisis while she's in the White House, there will be someone around who really does have executive branch experience - namely, Bill - to lend a hand. But the Clintons are playing a dangerous game. The more they remind us of what we liked about Act I of the Bill and Hillary Show, the more they also remind us of what we hated.

Obama
He would be better than the one that has been there for 8 years.  No matter who is elected, it will take a long time to fix what Bush as screwed up!
<3 Obama too!!
:)
Obama
If she keeps lying from today until November she might actually catch up with Obama!
Go Obama

Haven't seen any posts here for awhile.  Very excited about the outcome of tonight's election.  I am so glad to see that people are not buying the "gimmicks" Hillary proposed.  Gas tax holiday?...give me a break!  Someone needed to ask her, "So what happens when the holiday is over", you charge back up the gas price!

The big joke is that Bill Clinton raised the gas tax in his first year in office.  It was included in a package of tax increases that amounted to the biggest tax increase in history.  It was raised by 4.3 cents.  Not only did he raise the gas tax, but he wanted to raise it even higher.

So you should all get this straight...Hillary is "claiming" she would give drivers 3 whole months (wow - imagine that) 18 cent a gallon cut after her husband forced drivers to pay an extra 5 cents for 15 years.

Unfortunately there were some people who bought into her pandering (which by the way is another word for lying), but thank goodness enough people with an education and most important most of the with common sense could see right through her lies.

Way to go North Carolina - I'm so pleased.  And Indiana too.  It was a close race thank goodness.

Now she needs to step down.  Why?  Because its the right thing to do.  Do the numbers.  There is no way she can win and anyone who believes so needs to wake up.  What we need is for her to support Barack Obama (that is if she's telling the truth about the most important thing is nominating a democrat for president).  Somehow though I do not believe she has the best interest of the party or the american people in mind.  Her goal is to serve herself.  She needs to graciously bow out and put all her efforts into getting a democrat in the office.

P.S. - Note to the "ditto heads".  Maybe we should rename Limbaugh followers "dumbo heads".  Not only did your little plan fail Mr. Limbo, but it failed badly.  In a poll taken (and yes I know polls can be misleading), but not only did the republicans change parties to vote for a democrat but the majority of them voted for Obama.  Then on top of that over 75% of republicans that voted as democrats said that Obama could be McCain (or as I am hearing him being referred to as McBush), but only around 25% said they believed Hillary could win.  So not only does Hillary need to do the math, so does Mr. Limbo.
