It's not her addiction that bothers me it's the stealing and the double standard by her husband. McCain puts other people in jail and rips apart families for drug crimes. I bet there are at least 100 infants in foster care in AZ right now because their mom tested +.

He is still in the senate and will be until the day he dies, probably. It is funny to me how people can see the splinter in the other guy's eye but not the timber in their own.
What about the Clinton double standard? What about the Obama double standard of dealing with a slum lord (and knowing it) and at the same time castigating other slum lords in Chicago? That seems pretty hypocritical to me, but I avoided it until the tear up Cindy McCain stuff started. You guys act as if the McCains invented using wealth to get out of legal problems. I refer you again to the Kennedys...

I don't think I understand the double standard here for Palin...
Palin says Obama is "just" a community organizer and unqualified for the job, but we aren't supposed to say anything about her unbelievable lack of knowledge. She showed that all by herself w/o the help of the campaign.
She tried to tie Obama to terrorists and says he's a socialist, marxist, and I don't even know what all else. And yet she should not have any scrutiny when she has video out there of her with the witch doctor.
Fox News can take a video of a fist bump between PRESIDENT-ELECT Obama and his wife and call it some kind of terroist signal, and MSNBC is not supposed to point out just how ridiculous this is?
Fox News, yet again strikes and plasters a bottom of the screen banner over video of Michelle Obama calling her a "baby mama," and we aren't supposed to question Palin's fifth child that was soooo questionable.
If you want to be mad at somebody about talking about Sarah Palin, try the republican party. They are the ones who ruined her. They are the ones talking about how much her clothes were. They are the ones talking about the show up at the door in a towel incident.

The affair doesn't bother me - the lies do
I have no idea what what happened between them that he would have had an affair. It doesn't even bother me if he had an affair during her illness. What bothers me is his lies. When he first had the affair he should have come out and stated so to his wife or whoever it involved. It is none of the publics business to know whether he had an affair or not. This is his most personal and private life. However, if it does surface he should not lie about it.

I hope you will see what is truly going on in your viewing this morning. I hope you will also see all the good Americans who are walking around the astrodome giving out water and supplies. I hope you see that the Southern Baptists and Samaritan's Purse and other groups are setting up kitchens, mobile showers, and counseling stations. I hope that you see how the gangs, rapists and murders are making this difficult on everyone. I hope you can get your index finger out of the pointing position and roll up your sleeves with the rest of good Americans are doing and do what you can do. There will be time to dissect this all later as far as whole failed who etc., but that is after all these people are taking care of. I agree that government has been slow in acting for reasons I'm yet to understand, but I also know that we don't need the government to take care of these people. If we all pitch in and sacrifice these people will get the leg up they need to start putting their lives together.

I used to enjoy these boards and the differing viewpoints, but I think people are starting to show their true colors. Enjoy yourselves. However, I hope those that read here do their own research using unbiased sources and make up their own minds and don't just take anything here as fact without doing so.
