Fact remains....McCain saw this meltdown coming....

and the Dems would not listen. They did not want to upset the golden apple cart. And we the people are left holding the bag. Do I want one of them in the white house while we are trying to work our way out of this? No way, no how, nobama.

The fact remains....sm
On the whole, republicans give more than Democrats.

Just ask Joe Biden. Just ask the Clintons. They only gave to their own foundation, which didn't do much of anything, except pay themselves.

Warren Buffet, billionaire liberal democrat, gives next to nothing. He's leaving his billions to Bill Gates foundation....but what did he give away during his lifetime?

The list goes on and on.

Fact remains that
whether you believe the Constitution's language regarding church and state or not, ours is a secular nation. I will not take the time to answer this viewpoint since I do not buy into it, but I have read the same wacko blogs and sites that promote this nonsense.

There are so many of America's true traditions that were eroded (some beyond recognition) during W's reign, and blurring the lines between church and state is high on that list. Do not look for that minority initiative to survive much longer. Most Americans understand the wisdom in the concept. Get all indignant and outraged if you like. Flame away. It won't change the fact that theocracy is a Middle Eastern concept that is not likely to "catch on" stateside anytime soon.
The fact remains as you so artfully ignored...
Clintons laid the groundwork for outsourcing to India and the rest of the hierarchy of your party blocked any attempt to stop said outsourcing. Where does the majority of outsourcing of MT work go? India. Lame, lame comeback, GT. That is so simple even YOU could get it, to use your own words.

When you are proven wrong on one point, counter with another. You can complain all you want about the Repubs...I could care less. Not my party. Like I said...Dems lite. However, the law being what it is, you have to register as SOMETHING to vote, if I in my ignorance
remember correctly. And you won't see me registering as a Democrat in this lifetime...because you, my friend, are indicative of what it has become and again...NO thank you. lol.

But the fact remains, old timer...it is they..
we are fighting now, and she was speaking about soldiers being deployed now. So her answer was correct.
Fact remains...your guy is in just as deep...
and dirty, and McCain at least tried to head it off, while your guy became their #2 recipient. Now THAT is an INCONVIENIENT truth. lol.
The fact remains....Joe is NOT the issue.
Obama's answer to the question is the issue. No one held a gun to his head and forced him to answer it. He could have walked awawy with one of his nonanswers like he has done before, but he chose to answer it. And he gave an honest socialist answer. Because he is a socialist. Try to deflect it to Joe....but the fact remains. Obama gave a socialist answer because he is a socialist. Period, end of sentence.

I suppose you think it is fair that a person asks a question and then state law enforcement does a background check on them?? What if you asked McCain a tough question in a townhall and they didn't like it and had you investigated and publically lacerated??

THAT will hurt Obama as much as his socialist answer.
Yes, I know, but the fact remains my question has still not been answered. SM

How is it that people feel they can make these kind of egregious statements about someone so effortlessly and not support those statements with facts.  Pardon me if I am a little insistent that credible proof be provided that Laura Bush was drunk when she was involved in the accident that killed her friend.

But the fact remains...she has more executive experience than your #1 guy.
That is indisputable. In fact, more than her running mate and your #2. To say she is inexperienced only shines the same light on Barack Obama. That is not a slam, it is a fact.
But oldtimer...the fact remains...if those 94 democrats...
had voted yes, it would have passed ANYWAY, no matter what the Republicans did. enough Republicans voted for it that the 94 democrats would have made the difference. It would have passed. Not all republicans voted against it.
liberal fuzzy math....the fact remains....
she has a higher approval rating than most of the governors in the lower 48...quite possibly THE highest. Nice try...no cigar.
The fact remains, she gave the correct answer.
and Gibson did not expect her to even know what NATO was. Point, Palin. Obama has been interviewed numerous times by the liberal press. Not a one of them asked him about foreign policy other than the chance to talk about how he was against the war in Iraq. No one asked him about his experience. No one looked him in the eye and said are you ready, and he is running for the #1 spot.

There is the video where he himself said he would not be ready to run in 2008. Biden said during the primaries he wasn't ready. That makes two of them, and I agree 100%.
Fact remains, she has made executive decisions for a year and a half...
as governor, and before that as a mayor. He has made none. Zero, zilch, nada. The only time she will "legislate" is if she has to vote to break a tie Not hardly the same thing as running a state...or a country.
Okay....let's see...McCain picked the financial meltdown...
as the #1 issue. OBama picked his run for the Presidency. Meaning he is always going to put Barack first. McCain put his country first. End of story.
The point remains...she might as well be running for president...McCain is...sm
a heartbeat away from the inevitable not just because he is old enough to be Palin's granddaddy but because of his medical history so with all that said...Palin is practically running for #1 and that's just the honest to God SCARY truth of the matter.
Do you acknowledge that McCain saw this coming...
cosponsored legislation to try to prevent it, and Barack Obama, Chris Dodd and Barney Frank blocked that legislation?
See inside for link....McCain saw this coming in 2005...
http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-88137

THIS is the guy I want in the White House during these bad financial times. Obviously he knows enough about the economy and outfits like this to see problems coming.
McCain saw Fannie/Freddie coming in 2005...
and sponsored legislation which the Democrats blocked.

John McCain did anticpate the problems with GSEs and see them as a systemic financial problem. He even sponsored legislation to deal with it, and this is what he said:

"I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole."

McCain deserves credit for being on the right side of this. Meanwhile, Obama in just four years in the Senate raked more contributions from Fannie and Freddie than any other Senator in the last 19 years — save Chris Dodd, who's pretty demonstrably in the pocket of Big Mortgage.

Chris is on the way to a meltdown
Not only was he rude but he's getting worse and worse as the democrats ratings keep dropping. Talk about a pit bull (without lipstick). He's attacking his guests not giving them a chance to answer the questions. That's not "pinning someone to the wall like a bug". That's just rude. He should ask the guest a question, let him answer, and then respond to his answer. To badger and not let your guest answer a question you ask while giving free reighn (sp?) to the democratic guest is just pure horse hockey. After today I no longer watch his show. I want some truth and clear cut answers and I believe every guest should be allowed to answer a question in full without the host bullying him (which by the way I do not believe Obama called Sarah a pig). Still is no excuse for Mathews to act like that. He's supposed to be a host and treat both sides fairly. That he does not do. He did this to other guests and luckily they said to him let me answer your question. MSNBCs ratings are going down the tube and they just lost one more viewer.
We are broke now in an economic meltdown and
post-911 mindset. There is only one way out for those who look forward to what lays beyond that quagmire. I'll give you a hint. It does not involve a right turn.
It's a meltdown, and heads are starting

to explode!

The candidate who runs from the economy during a meltdown
it is plain to see which side of the fence the hate is coming from.
I prefer the definition of economic meltdown.
Ignore it and your campaign will go down in flames.
Bush is the one that CAUSED this economic meltdown.
x
In the current economic meltdown....he has to inspire confidence...
fortunately for me, I am reaping the benefits of one of his agendas. I would be absolutely THRILLED if he can accomplish it all within the time limits he has imposed upon himself - but, he has an army of congress to aid our progress - how much will the pubs obstruct? I guess we will have to wait to see. I could pisss in my cheerios and embrace your negativity but I'd rather go to bed and have fabulous sex with my husband - we have something to celebrate.
Wrong. Democrats are responsible for the mortgage meltdown, not Bush....
McCain tried to tell them in 2005...Dems blocked the regulation he begged for for Fannie/Freddie. But the Dems were too deep in the pockets...Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelick, James Johnson, Timothy Howard...all democrats, all walked away from fannie Mae with golden parachutes of millions...and we are left holding the bag. Fannie contributed more to Chris Dodd, Democratic head of Banking and COmmerce committe than any other senator in the past 20 years...followed closely by Barack Obama, who has only been IN the senate for 2 years...you do the math and follow the money. Democrats largely responsible for this. ANd you want to put one in the white house. Who wants to raise taxes in this financial crisis. What part of collapse of the economy don't you...and Mr. Obama...understand?
The fact that an article was written does not make it fact. I hope you know that. nm

It remains to be seen if

they will no longer be here.  I personally don't believe they will leave.

However, since their alleged departure, the Conservative board is a much more serene, friendly place to visit.  There is actually intelligent discussion happening there now, and people's views are being respected and not attacked any more by those three.  Hopefully it will encourage more intelligent debate.  I even felt free to post there today, because in their alleged absence, I don't feel I will wind up in the middle of a war zone.

You refer to someone wishing a poster to "burn in hell."  That's a horrible thing to say to anyone, but I think a bigger question is, how much goading and attacking does it take to get someone to that point?

The Conservative board has almost 1,900 posts on it.  Most of these aren't intelligent debate.  They're attacks by these three, wherein they attack a single poster 3 to 1, then come back to "high-five" each other after stomping the poster so far into the ground, they just give up.  More like a street gang mentality than loving, tolerant Christians.

Though there are also attacks on this board, many of them are provoked by one or more of this "gang."  If you take a close look at the Conservative and Liberal boards, the more intelligent, tolerant debate, hands down, is found on this board.

I agree with you that we should move on.  I also feel that we shouldn't feel too secure in the peace and serenity that is currently being felt, because I personally believe it will be short lived.  I believe in my heart they will be back, because they obviously are "pets" of the owner of this board, and I truly doubt that there's another forum out there that would tolerate them.  They seem to harbor too much hatred and rage and anger to be content to stay away from here for too long.  Just my personal opinion.  I have respected yours.  All I ask is that you please respect mine, as well, and then maybe we CAN move on to engage in intelligent, thoughtful, open debate, which presumably is the reason for these boards to begin with.

I think that remains to be seen.
he's off to a pretty good start with this particular issue and I am so looking forward to having the shame of the shrub's years replaced by the pride I can take in a president who takes that document seriously.
This still remains the unanswered
was evaded through the entire campaign and never answered. There is no tax cut for 95% of Americans as 52% of them were led to believe (and naively did so), just a welfare check issued out those who do not pay income taxes to begin with!

"second thing" remains a mystery
I understand they were the arresting officer's words. I am just curious as to what the second thing is. Did he lose his train of thought?
While a fetus remains a part of MY body, is sure
And it will never be yours, or anyone else's.

Why are you McCain people so desperate? You are just like McCain. No plan. Just criticism of the
other candidate.  I guess you want the same old thing we have had for the past 8 years.  God forbid McCain win with that wild woman, Palin.
Where is this coming from? sm
When you same something this inflammatory, this hateful, this destructive, and this untrue, you need to give a source other than your personal opinion.
No, I don't get where you are coming from.....
Did a gay/lesbian person EVER push their lifestyle on you? If so, they were simply classless people. I have never had that happen with couples (2 separate people tried to hit on me, same sex, but, they erroneously thought I was of the same ilk). What people do in their bedroom is their own business. I was raised in a small town, my family was well acquainted with several gay couples. One of the ladies was a very powerful deputy sheriff who commanded respect and who also owned half the town. She was one of the most intelligent, fascinating people I have ever met. I was raised to look at it as a non-issue. It didn't change who those people were. We loved them no matter what.
this coming from the
person who told another poster to "shut up" recently.  War, economy, health care.  We are dealing with horrific problems here.
Where are you coming from?

The post that Zville put up had only 2 responses besides yourself.  How that has anything to do with "rabid Republicans" and the rest of your post is out of line.  No one but you mentioned the different parties.

What is coming......sm
No need to check this out on Snopes because it won't be there. This actually happened to a friend's friend and my friend told me about it.

I ordered a pizza and when the delivery guy comes to the door I see he is an older guy. With a heavy accent he pointed to my yard sign and said "That is right, no Obama, yes McCain." I nodded in approval and said "Thats right!" and he went on to say "I lived 37 years under a communist government, and what is coming, is communism."

Now, if that don't scare ya straight, I don't know what will.
Coming to the top with you...

I just didn't want this message to get lost below.

This post is nothing but an opinion by an unidentified author from an obscure website.  This website is run by a guy named Jeff Rense.  He also does a radio talk show about UFO sightings.  Nice research there partner!

no one is coming
since you are making a racist remark against whites, you need to know I am black and I too have a gun and ammo. You think only white people have that? And I too am a conservative and I suppose you would consider me right wing, if you want to give it a name. I am a God fearing person whom you call hyper-religious. I am against abortion and believe we have the right to bear arms.

Need to reassess your own views first.
The coming
http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/7901

where is this coming from - seriously? nm
x
Isn't that coming anyway?
Government is getting more and more control over things.  If they take control of everything.....what makes you think they won't tell us how to live, where to live, what we can buy, etc.
How would you like somebody coming
into your house and taking it away from you? Not every people accepts this, because it is wrong.
You don't even know who I am, I only started coming here.
x
Indictments coming down
One to ffive indictments coming down.  Those involved have already been told.  Indictments are sealed until tomorrow.
And the funnies keep on coming.

I hope for your sake that laws are never changed to require a voter to have a double-digit IQ.

Exactly! Coming together as Americans...
and out from under all "labels" is where the answer lies. No one truly believes in Democracy anymore. In days gone by, yes, there would be grousing going up to election, a little grousing after election, then we were all friends again until the next election cycle. All this polarization is ridiculous, and disliking someone strictly on their political stance, and saying silly things like "I have known people like you all my life" and focusing that frustration on one person they don't even know...how silly is that?? I suppose because they can't confront those people in "real life" they come here to unload on strangers. It is truly my way or the highway, and it is that way on BOTH sides. Would it not be wonderful to be Americans first and liberals or conservatives or polka-dotted SECOND?

Keep 'em coming.
I’m going to take a page out of your book again and simply jump over this latest denial/dodge of yours...just like you did with the context post. Blame game bluster scores no points here. The ignorance seems to be unending, but at least you could try to know your own party platform. Think you can handle that?

Bottom line. This is so simple, even you can get it. Dems would impose the R-words (regulatiions and restrictions) on the transnationals....back in the day, we called it monopoly busting. Pubs give them the keys to the candy store, the greed of the wealthy being what it is and all. Gotta keep those CEOs perks coming.

We can all see how well that has worked for us. One does not have to look too far to see just how inept the party has been over the past 8 years in all things economic. Huge surplus transformed to deepest deficit of all times, virtually overnight, gas/food, bank foreclosures, housing crisis, rising unemployment, wage stagnation, inflation/recession. Bush’s latest brilliant explanation for all this is that “Wall Street got drunk. It has a hangover. Don’t know how long it will take them to sober up.” This would be the extent of his experience? Scarey. Maybe he has been reading McCain's joke book. The candidate tells us that the economy “is not his strong suit.” Disarmingly honest, but none to comforting. Speaks for itself.

Touched on this in the economics paragraph in the context post, but you chose to ignore that...or, in your own words, maybe that was the one you were not paying attention to, I forget. In fact, no response from you, Sam, speaks volumes and sheds a whole lot more light on the subject than anything you might actually come out and try to say. Go figure.
