I doubt you will get any real answer for this....(sm)

Credibility of sources seems to be subjective on here.  However, my pet peeves are the ones that come out with some outrageous stuff from a writer with an obvious agenda and present that article as fact.  Jeff Rense is a good example of that.  He is not only conservative, but a nut as well.

Another good example of this is the below post about *trickle-up poverty.*  Since she won't state her source or the meaning of the term, I decided to look it up (as MS suggested).  Seems that the phrase was coined by Michael Savage, a conservative radio talk show host.  Right now he's running third, right behind Rush and Hannity.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Savage_(commentator)

Here's what he said -- not what I would consider credible:

"Trickle-Up" Poverty: The New
Economics of Barack Obama

The liberal media talking heads are already proclaiming that a Barack Obama victory will be revolutionary. Revolutionary is right. The last great revolution took place in Russia. Within a year of the Russian Revolution in 1917, the communist leader Lenin brought the Russians change they could believe in. He created an economic system in which:

  • All industry was nationalized and strict centralized management was introduced.
  • Obligatory labor duty was imposed onto "non-working classes" or people who had money. Food was rationed and centrally distributed.
  • Military-like control of railroads was introduced.
  • Private enterprise became illegal.

After Stalin took over the Soviet Union, he:

  • Imposed a state-run system of socialized medicine
  • Formed a strict, centralized cultural administration and ideological control system – in other words, reeducation.

There is every reason to believe that some kind of socialist revolution will occur under B.O. Bush has already imposed socialism on the banks, and Obama promises to do more of the same. The Soviets put people with money to work in factories.

Under Obama, the business owners in this country who drive the economy will be put to work by being forced to pay crushing taxes that will fund gold-plated healthcare for illegal aliens and welfare cases. Private enterprise may not actually be made illegal, but so many businesses will die under an Obama administration that the same goal will be accomplished. Instead of trickle-down economics, we’ll have trickle-up poverty.

We already know Obama will impose socialized medicine – that is a given. And reeducation will come in the form of the Fairness Doctrine, which Nancy Pelosi will push through the Congress by stressing the need to foster unity and avoid destabilizing the markets with hurtful and unbalanced commentary. This is what the future holds under B.O.

Real World?
If you remember correctly, the economic crisis happened before Barack Obama was elected president. I believe Georgie Porgie was president at that point in time. Maybe you and your husband are the ones who need to visit the real world. By the way, if your husband works in the stocks/trading and knows about market manipulation, he is apparently part of the problem.
Back in the real world
we have a bit of a different picture. Despite the fact that support for the plan has deropped recently, all polls reported here still indicate 52% support to 38% opposition. What's even more interesting in this report is how the questions on bipartisanship were answered.

Some of us live in the real world. JBB
nm
I have taken a peek at the real world.

The real world is a lot bigger than you Obama loving freaks who see no wrong in anything he does.  Waterboarding is not torture.  Their lives were not in danger.  Now if we were chopping off fingers, pulling off finger nails and toe nails, cutting off someone's ear, etc.......that is torture.  We didn't break their bones or cut anything of theirs off.  We are in a war.  A war where people want YOU dead along with your family all because we aren't Muslims.  Now, you people whine and complain about the God fearing Christians who post and you ridicule them and tell them to go to the faith board and stop all the Bible mumbo jumbo because they are freaks, etc. but you seem to be fine with extreme Islam and them wanting to kill everyone who doesn't believe like they do.

Whether you want to believe it or not, Obama has put us all at great risk with these witch hunts.  We will be hit by terrorists again.  I'm not the only one who thinks that.  Just look at the people in NYC who ran for their lives when they pulled the idiotic photo op with Air Force One flying low over the city.  People freaked out!  Now...obviously that wasn't a terrorist attack but people are still scared and they should be.  You can't reason with terrorists.  They will not stop trying to kill us until we kill them first.

Not in the real world of dems/libs who are
nm
You should come back and visit the real world sometime
Must be nice to live in a delusional world blaming things on a past president, unless of course that president is a crat, and then you blame the previous one. And on top of that you blame past president and praise the current president for the stock market fluctuance. DH works in stocks/trading. He knows how markets are manipulated. Nothing to do with the pres. Come back sometime though and visit us in the real world and realize that the market goes up and down on daily basis. So you are correct in your post. I'd definitely look into what you eluded to. We'd miss you here if you don't get better. - Be well.
If it makes you feel better - but in the real world, indictment is not a joke.
Not to mention, this is an indictment by a Grand Jury from his home state. The natives are restless, it seems.

Happily, it doesn't matter a bit if DeLay is convicted or not. He's finished, caput, out on his butt, a lame duck if there ever was one. Like Gingrich before him he's had his day in the public eye and sure, with his connections he'll do fine in the private sector - but good riddance to that era.
His news conference yesterday...and there are a few real conservative economists left in the world..
that know his plans won't work, economic, healthcare and all the others.

Obama is doomed to fail miserably, and will probably blame someone else for it all (wait for it....It's Bush's fault...well, and maybe it'll be Congress' fault too, when things fail to work out according to his great plans).

Socialism doesn't work. Ask any true economist, and ask any historian how well Russia, Cuba, Venezuela socialism has worked out.
No doubt at all that you're an expert on the issue.
One of your heroes, Pat Robertson, is publicly making statements like a terrorist.  I'm sure you know a lot about how terrorists think.
I seriously doubt the Dems would claim you,Zauber. You're another Howard Dean.

You're living in a dream world
You think the thugs are targeting the poor neighborhoods where they assume there's nothing there to steal. No, they target those they think have something they feel "entitled" to. My neighbor up the street last February drove into his garage, got out of his car, and had a gun pointed to his head forcing him back into his car, where he was made drive to a local ATM. When he got out to go the ATM, he just sad the h@ll with it and starting running next door to a pharmacy. Why guns? Protection from what? Are you looney? Guns in a purse that the robber isn't betting on could mean his head blown off instead of yours.

The lady sitting in her living room a few weeks ago watching TV, when a couple of jackasses broke through her plate glass window and came after her with a gun. You think if I were in another part of the house, heard this, and could get my hands on a gun or a baseball bat, I would choose a baseball bat? I'd blown their freaking brains out.

What you gonna tell them? Wait a minute, please get close enough where I can get a good aim with this here baseball bat.

Violence is out of control in places it did not used to be. I have known several in our neighborhood whose homes have been broken into around Christmas time. They were just lucky not to be at home. And believe me, they have guns and would have been judge and jury real quick. It's their life or the the thieves.

It just hasn't happened to you. This isn't the same world I grew up in where we left our doors unlocked more times than not. I do live in a neighborhood where I would hope might be safer but that's exactly where all the low lifes come to...like I said they're not going to the poor neighborhoods. To steal what?
Here's the real story if you're interested
The family-planning program that Pelosi supports expanding was originally created in 1972 under the leadership of Richard Nixon. The proposal is an expansion in the number of states that can use Medicaid money to help low-income women prevent unwanted pregnancies. Of the 26 states that already have Medicaid waivers for family planning, eight are led by Republican governors (AL, FL, MS, SC, CA, LA, MN and RI). John Boehner and House Republicans claim this is a "gift to the abortion industry," yet I don't see any Republican governors promising to end the program in their states.

Plus the process for obtaining the family-planning waiver is covered in red tape and often takes as long as TWO YEARS to be approved. The Congressional Budget Office has estimated that eliminating the waiver requirement would save states $400 million over 10 years.

Of course, Drudge and Politico are screaming "Democrats want to spend $200 million on contraception!" without presenting the facts.
Bush said, 'If you're interested in avoiding World War III'
I see nothing wrong with the statement.  Go to YouTube and listen to his whole statement.  You're making it sound like he said we ARE in World War III, which is not at all what he alluded to.
Now McCain is 80?! You're a real fountain of information, aren't you? nm
x
No, goofy. Republicans are REAL people, real
nm
If the real folks, with real hope, faith, and
and for our country's future who participate here on this forum were just a tad as healthy, wealthy and wise as this poster considers herself, we probably wouldn't be sitting in front of these silly computers trying to make a living!! Can't figure why she is here other than tell us how healthy, wealthy and wise she is and we are not!
I doubt it. nm

Somehow I doubt that. nm

I seriously doubt that.
Let's stick to reality here, but probably an impossible thing to ask for.
What I know without a doubt is that I don't want...
a party who accepts the kinds of things you post here anywhere near the presidency.
Somehow I doubt that very seriously........
Palin's daughter is just an easy target right now because Obama's girls aren't old enough.... on the other hand with 12 year olds having babies, I guess we won't have to wait long, huh?

I'm sorry you think you are so morally righteous that you have the right to condemn others....
I rather doubt that.

No doubt!
I often wonder how Obama can keep his cool.

It was also pathetic when McCain carried on and on during the last debate about how someone said something unpleasant about him at an Obama rally and he felt Obama didn't stick up for him.

Are you kidding me?!!?
i have no doubt... NM

somehow I doubt that
nm
LOL...I seriously doubt that...(sm)
I tend to have that bad habit of going by facts -- not speculation.
I doubt it...
I am qualified to do other things. I do this job so that I can stay home with my kids. I could make more money elsewhere. Also, I never did say that I have easy doctors, just doctors that I am used to. I know what mushmouth things they say. I don't have medical benefits. If I needed them, I would have to do some other kind of work. I just think that it is silly to pay the auto workers more than they are worth because of unions. I understand that you are pro union and all, but there is no need to say that I will clean toilets. Come on Gourdpainter, are you having a bad day?
Oh...there is! Same ones no doubt that put him through
x
No doubt.....
nm
I doubt it, too. (sm)

I expect to be called a bunch of names after people don't even bother to read it or watch the video.

But thank you for such a nice, civil comment.  They're hard to come by these days on this board.

I doubt that this had anything to do with...(sm)
how much he loves his country, much less his race (yeah, you really went out on a limb on that one).  What it has to with is what he's teaching the kids.  From what I understand he directs his students to his website, which is a conservative web site.  That's where I have a problem.  We don't need to teach partisan politics in a history class, we need to teach history...the facts.
I doubt they notice.
They are too busy cheer-leading every single thing he does and trashing anyone who disagrees with them.  They seem to follow blindly, unquestioningly, and would rather not think independent thoughts.  At least that's what they've led me to believe about them.  You're absolutely right about Jimmy Carter, too.  He does wonderful work with Habitat for Humanity.  It's amazing how the group that should be the most tolerant and accepting and loving is the group that is the most ferocious, biting, hateful and angry.
I seriously doubt that is who she had in mind. ...
.
I seriously doubt your statistics.
And the truth is, the man whose article you posted has an agenda.  I don't listen to things like this from either side.  Conspiracy theories are tiresome.
I don't doubt one word you say.

Especially considering Bush's fondness of scare tactics.  I don't know if she drinks or not (I've often thought she looked, sounded and acted drunk), which makes me wonder if she might have one too many someday and spill the beans.  Either way, she doesn't seem like a very stable person.

I'm sorry about your career.  You weren't one of those CIA whistle blowers, were you?  We've all seen, through this administration at leas, that honesty in government is a big no-no, and if anyone tries to divulge their dirty tricks, they're lives are destroyed.

I doubt a lot of conservatives were there. sm
True conservatives would not have been caught dead there.  Maybe some RINOS.
I doubt you would believe it if YOU saw it. Sigh.
And just because you say it ISN'T so, doesn't make it NOT so, either. :-)
Experience....but have no doubt...
McCain/Palin will bring change with their experience. Just not the kind of social marxist change the dems want to enforce.

I have no faith in any kind of so-called change from any current member of the Democratic party.

doubt any of them have read

it either.  Probably pulled off some Fox website.  the post is not for discussion.   You are supposed to read the quotes pulled out of their  context and say to yourself, Wow, he is a black man.  He is not like me.  He scares me.  I am afraid.  I will vote for the elderly white man even if he cares not a whit about my life.  It is a basic crude, race baiting post.

No, he is a socialist first.........and no doubt his
It is known for a FACT that the Obama campaign has contributed over 800K dollars to ACORN, a corrupt organization committed to voter fraud with many members of ACORN indicted for those crimes and more...... you figure it out.

And pleeeze do not tell me Obama doesn't know anything about this...
I have no doubt, we have a split
board. Someone loves arguments and has a heck of a lot of time on her hands. She is never here all at one time, if you watch closely. Uses one moniker to try to sound decent, and multiple others to incite arguing. Let's try ignoring and maybe it will go away.
Sincerely doubt that
Sam was never duplicitous.

I seriously doubt it is untrue.
Emotions are running way too high, especially in the Republican rallies, and I DO watch them.  If ever there was a plant in the audience it was the black man that stood up and said, "please, sir, I'm begging you....."  Notice Mc went up and hugged him and then addressed the poor woman who was "scared" of Obama because he was a terrorist.  Anyone remember Mccain saying, "no, no maam, he's not."  Do any of you republicans ever pay attention?
i have no doubt He is coming
than we think.
I don't doubt that he IS. Remeber he said...
start at the BOTTOM. And that is EXACTLY what he meant.
I doubt you even read it...........sm
did you?

This person has gone to exhaustive measures and would appear to be very knowledgable in photography and computer graphics.  There is a lot of proof in this article.
I doubt he's jesting s/m
The Bushes may hide in the bushes for awhile but they'll come out again and people will probably be dumb enough to elect Jeb.  May as well have a Clinton/Bush/Kennedy monarchy and be done with it.
I seriously doubt liberals have anything
Republicans, the party of whiners.
No doubt..........you were probably too busy
watching Pelosi jumping up and down like an idjit who escaped from the looney bin....

Even Biden and the others looked like they were sick and tired of that charade.
