Don’t be a hater, if you have money
then what difference does it make to anyone what you spend? I am planning my vacation this morning and I am thinking about a trip to Canada and my husband just asked me if I would like instead to go on safari to Africa. I can afford and thus I do. What others spend is their own personal business.
I am in the same boat, labeled a hater.sm
All I want is accountability and truth.
Would you call him a traitor and America hater?
Shame on you.

Army officer says won't fight in unlawful Iraq war
Wed Jun 7, 2006 7:31 PM ET

By Akiko Fujita

TACOMA, Washington (Reuters) - A U.S. Army officer said on Wednesday that fighting in the war in Iraq would make him party to war crimes and he would not go.

First Lt. Ehren Watada's supporters -- including clergy and a military family group -- said he is the first commissioned officer to publicly refuse to serve in Iraq and risked being court-martialed.

The Pentagon said Watada was among a number of officers and enlisted personnel who have applied for conscientious objector status.

The wholesale slaughter and mistreatment of the Iraqi people is not only a terrible moral injustice but a contradiction of the Army's own law of land warfare. My participation would make me party to war crimes, said Watada in a taped statement played at a Tacoma news conference.

His superiors at the nearby Fort Lewis military base would not let Watada leave the base to attend the press conference. Another news conference took place in Watada's native Hawaii.

Watada, 28, had been scheduled to be deployed to Iraq for his first tour later this month. He joined the Army in 2003, and has served in Korea.

Watada said his moral and legal obligations were to the U.S. Constitution not those who would issue unlawful orders.

Nearly 2,500 U.S. soldiers and an estimated 40,000 Iraqi civilians have been killed since the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003.

In recent weeks, Marines have been accused of killing 24 Iraqi civilians in the town of Haditha, raising concerns about abuse of force.

Paul Boyce, Army spokesman at the Pentagon, said Watada's case was being reviewed, adding it is not the first case, nor is his case particularly unique.

Joe Colgan, whose son Benjamin was killed in Iraq, said sending sons and daughters to Iraq was unpatriotic.

I ask that we all think about our moral conscience and what we have done in God's name, said Colgan.

Sam has her own fan club!

Ha ha to the "Sam haters!"

It's really something to watch how the lib media just doesn't know what to do with a woman who gave birth 5 times, still looks hot, can dress a moose, run a state, and basically laugh at their elitism.  They never will get it, ya know?

The military is not a kid club. sm

Drinking age and fighting is an old and worn out reasoning. Besides, they get all the alcohol they want.   What are we supposed to do with men and women who choose to join the military.  Put it in writing that they will never have to go to war?  And where was the left's outrage when Clinton sent men and women into his little skirmishes.  I never heard a word then.  Never saw one leftie holding a sign that said NO MORE MOGADISHUs.  In fact, the left hardly even mentions it.  Why is that exactly?

Is this the host of the 700 club?
x
I believe him too, but it's "Country CLUB First" sm...
Seriously people. McCain is worth *100 million dollars,* is married to a beer heiress, and owns 9 homes. But you guys continue to insist that Obama is the elitist? ROFLMAO
W's 22% fan club strikes again.
Did you read the article? O was not mentioned once in it, but you do not hesitate to inject your O hate at every turn. Are you even capable of comment on the substance, or is your plan for the future to b*tch and moan for the net 4 years? If so, why would you expect anybody to take what you have to say seriously?

Why not try defending W's support of these decidedly un-American precepts? Oh, maybe because it's indefensible and the only thing you know how to do is lash out at somebody who had nothing to do with it? I think I got it.

Where did you go the club, out on Bankhead?
Any person with any sense knows how to pick and choose what section of town they go in. I doubt the black females in town are scared of you. I have traveled in both white and black communities and never faced what you talk about. When you assume you are usually wrong- probably in this case also for you. What a crock.
He did that alright...(sm)

But that's what I see as a problem....inflaming the public.  The only thing that does is cause even more division -- like we need that right now.

Oh, alright
can he wait till winter, though?
member of the sane club
I am a member of the sane hate shrub club, a member of the we know shrub lies about everything club and is destroying america and our standing in the world club.
This is what passes for clarification in W's 22% fan club?
That apples and oranges line of thinking does not compute (life in the US, Russia or Cuba). My brain cells do not connect along those same pathways. Let's try some logic.

Since we don't know what it going to be like (your words, not mine) under O, one can only speculate. Knock yourself out on that one. I'm not into that. Bush, however, has had his debut, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th acts. The curtain is coming down and we have concrete evidence on which to base our individual takes on his regime. There is reliable data available (approval ratings, whose better off now than in 2000, the state of our economy, our standing in the world, etc) which suggests that for many of us, W has managed to single-handedly turn our country into something we can barely recognize. The hatchet job he and his buddies did early on with the Constitution is all the evidence I need to feel justified in my absolute contempt for the man and his legacy, not to mention the fact that pretty much nothing he has done has even begun to address the problems we face with terrorism on the international front and the economy, health care, the environment, etc on the home front. The decider to some, the destroyer to others.
Someone is gullible alright. nt
.
Oh, it was thoughtful alright............
not much intelligence involved though. All the run around speeches he gives for those who refuse to see it, just are nothing more than he says one thing and completely intends to do another. It's not that hard to hear for those of us who aren't falling for that Obama love fest you have going.

Oh, I get it alright and it's becoming more clear by

But that's my point, the military HAS turned into a kid club...
For the most part.  The recruiters prey on high school kids.  Let's take a poll out there of how many of you were capable of making truly wise life-impacting decisions at age 17 and 18?  I sure wasn't and my kids certainly weren't able to.  Deciding on college, maybe.  Deciding to party, most certainly.  And the problem with the military is that it is advertised as a ticket to education and world-travel, the recruiters don't advertise it as a one-way ticket to an immoral war.  And as you know, it is extremely hard to "quit" the military if there is a change of heart......
Faith in God is not an exclusive country club.

So did you get the complete roster when you joined the club?

He's losing his bearings alright...
I sincerely think that melanoma has affected his brain. He used to be a maverick, especially when he ran against GWB in 2000. Now he's just old, real old. Think it's time for him to retire.
I notice that all of a sudden it is alright
Boy, some of us really got trampled for using Hussein during the campaign, but I guess since he is using his whole name for the inauguration, it's okay for all his worshippers to say it now! ! !............
I find it perfectly alright to say
I am white and I know how it works. White folks say a couple is "engaged" if the girl gets pregnant. Black folks say they are staying somewhere but do not go as far as to say they are engaged.
Thanks, LVMT; yup, propaganda is the word, alright.
You just wonder how much more damage will be done before more people see through it.
Pretty scary stuff alright.

What a gooooooooood little liberal you are!  HIGH FIVE!
English not so good. Sad for you. So much hate. Life too short hate.

Oh I see....you hate small town folks, you hate Christians...
and you hate the military...you are also coming into real clear view.
Sheesh, you not only hate Bush, you hate PEOPLE!

They don't hate us because we are free, they hate us because...
We need to stop imposing the way we live on them. They don't hate us because of our freedom. That is absurd. When have you ever heard them say we hate you because you are free? Never. What they have been saying is "Don't tell us how we should live". "Don't tell us we need to have the same type of government that America has", and they also say "We don't need the Americans designing our own countries flag" and that is why they hate us. They are their own country. It is not right for us to go in and say you need to live the way we do, your government needs to be run the way ours is. How would we like it if they came and said "Were invading America and your going to conform to the way we live because "its' the right way" or "god has told me this is the way it's suppose to be". No, we wouldn't like it one bit. Every country lives differently. We need to stop dictating how other countries should live.
Hate mongers hate everything.

So you not only hate gays, you also hate

you are the one with hate
It is you and the other republicans who post here that are filled with hatred.  My gosh, almost every one of your posts has the word hate in it.
Hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate. nm

Hate. nm

Hate? I don't hate anyone....
least of all some anonymous poster on a board. I would not waste the energy, and hating anyone is a waste of energy. I don't hate liberals. Yes, it is dissent...it is dissenting opinion. You know, like the Supreme Court judges do when they don't agree? They give dissenting opinions. There is much more opinion on these boards than fact. As far as hate....your leaders in Congress have a good healthy hatred and want of revenge...or they would not put terrorism on the back burner to investigating Bush. That is hatred of the man and desire for revenge that is quite blatantly obvious, and certainly is not in the best interests of the country. I believe that Ms. Pelosi needs to remember that people in glass houses should not throw stones. I don't expect an answer because you already told me you were not going to read this...
There just seems to be a lot of hate for her
I will vote dem no matter what
Why do you hate

Reading these posts I am trying to understand why Gov. Palin is hated so much.  I'd like to know facts (not rumors or lies).  Can you provide me with answers as to why.  I just don't understand it.

The conversative republicans on this board are not coming out with hate towards Obama/Biden, and I really don't see much hate towards McCain, but the actual hate is seeping out and infiltrating all of your thoughts with Gov. Palin and I cannot understand why.  I've seen her interviewed.  She doesn't seem too bad.  She's knowledgeable about the issues and answers questions with confidence.  I've also seen Obama, Biden and McCain interviewed too and I just don't understand what it is towards Gov. Palin but not the others.

Please provide facts too.  Everything I am reading on this board are rumors and lies, so if you could just tell me.  Even if you say you don't like her because she's pretty, or she decided to have a baby instead of aborting him, etc I don't mind answers like that because they will be truthful, but please don't tell me you hate her because of something manufacted, or for something she is not personally involved in.

Just trying to understand.

why is it hate
When we want her to speak out and show who she is? I don't hate her. I do think there were several more qualified women that could have been picked for the Rep VP slot. I think it is a slap in the face to the more educated, capable women that they picked a pretty little thing from Alaska that barely graduated college with a degree in Journalism.

Ms. Rice is 100 times more qualified to be VP, why not pick her?
I don't hate anyone!
All I am saying is that I have a better understanding of why you have such strong feelings about politics, based on what you have told us about yourself. My life is polar opposite of yours, which affects my feelings about politics.

I do not hate small town folks, Christians, the military, or anyone else. It just that we come from different worlds, and I understand now why we see things so differently.
Right, you don't hate nobody, you hate
agree with you.
What does this say.......hot hate?
Although nowhere does the Qur’an say that Allah loves those who don’t believe Muhammad, there are over 400 verses that describe the torment that he has prepared for people of other religions (or no religion):

And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it shall not be accepted from him, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers (3:85)

The relative worth of non-Muslims is that they are but fuel for the fire of Hell:

(As for) those who disbelieve, surely neither their wealth nor their children shall avail them in the least against Allah, and these it is who are the fuel of the fire (3:10)

As they are fueling the fire, unbelievers will be tormented by Allah’s angels on his command:

“O ye who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire whereof the fuel is men and stones, over which are set angels strong, severe, who resist not Allah in that which He commandeth them, but do that which they are commanded.” (66:6)

Hate to say it

I think there are a few bone fide nut jobs on this post that got a whole lot of people sucked into their delusions.  Fooled me twice. Later!

That's a lot of hate! nm
.
I don't hate you......... sm
I just don't like your lifestyle and that gay people are insisting upon calling a union between people of the same sex a marriage. In my opinion, and apparently in the opinion of a vast number of Americans, it devalues the institution of marriage between men and women. If you want to live together, fine. Just don't tell me that I must consider your situation a marriage and don't change our countries laws to recognize it as a marriage.
Hate to say it, but I don't think it's

going to happen (talking about issues). There are too many new ones on here now and all they want to do is name calling, pick fights, and won't try to find the truth and, sadly, it's also the way of the country nowadays.  I have been appalled at the reaction lately and even ones who have been on here a long time and always posted decently are turning into the negative posters, too.

Unless the posters start following the rules of this board, I doubt it will ever change.

you are right - they hate each other! nm
