In Reply to: I wouldn't get too excited yet......(sm) - Just the big bad

I really, really want to help pay for NASA programs, setting up new government programs/agencies that have nothing to do with stimulating the economy, only stimulating the government, providing salaries for program directors, etc.

Where's the help for the real people? I haven't read the whole thing yet, but I'm getting there slowly but surely. It's at this time I wish I was a speed reader. LOL

why are you excited?
Not criticizing you, but what makes you think that this is not just another politician promising "change". I do not mean to be cynical, but they really all say the same thing. Some are just better than others at making speeches. I am probably older than you and have seen it all before. None of them ever come through with what they promise. It is not really their fault, I suppose. Trying to work with Congress is probably close to impossible. If you really think that the President or anyone in government is going to directly change your life, you may be in dreamland. Our country was founded by the people, not the government. The only thing to get you excited is most likely the reality of higher taxes, which we don't need.   Good luck.
I'm excited

We all know that changes in Washington are hard to come by but Obama is so inspirational, he makes usthink it can actually happen - that HOPE thing he talks about. A big part of being president is being a great communicator, and that he definitely is!!

I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself. LOL
NOT
I wouldn't get too excited yet......(sm)

The pubs will change it when it hits the senate.  And what do they want?  How about more tax cuts for corporations......haven't we done that for about the last 8 years, and where did that get us?  Check this out.

Don't get too excited.... my candidate
At least my candidate wasn't buying his votes through ACORN and offering a pint of whiskey or a pack of cigarettes JUST to register to vote and to top that off folks, "we'll give you a free ride from your corner crack dealership right to the front door of the voting center; better yet, we'll even TELL you who to vote for so ya don't even have to think for yourself, since you didn't in the first place..... just let ACORN do all the work for ya you dimwitted little souls".

Is that what you meant by beating the streets? ROFL!!!!!
I know you are all excited by this trashy
crap being driven into the ground. We knew this is where Obama was going the day he announced the people who *performed* these acts would not be investigated. That left things wide open for the Bush Admin, esp Bush & Cheney, to be objects of his witch hunt. And of all people to be in charge, AG Holder!!, what a farce!

I realize I am way off the deep end, but don't hang out your victory flags just yet!
great, excited to check it out. nm

Totally excited - He gives us hope for a better future
Obama is the first candidate in my entire life that gives me hope of getting our country back on track. Here is why I am against Clinton and as a citizen will never vote for her (it just goes against all my beliefs as a human being and how I think other human beings should be treated). Here are some of the quotes she had made in the past. There are way too many so will limit it to just a few. I know I was sick after reading these....

“We just can’t trust the American people to make those types of choices, Government has to make those choices for people “ - Hillary to Rep. Dennis Hasert in 1993 discussing her expensive, disastrous taxpayer-funded health care plan.

“You know, I’m going to start thanking the woman who cleans the restroom in the building I work in. I’m going to start thinking of her as a human being”

“I am a fan of the social policies that you find in Europe ”

“If you want to remain on this detail, get your f***ing *ss over here and grab those bags!” - Hillary to a Secret Service Agent who was reluctant to carry her luggage because he wanted to keep his hands free in case of an incident.

“F***ing Jew Bast**d. – Hillary’s remarks about Fray (who ran Bill’s campaign) while in a rage after Bill’s run for congress failed. This slur was heard by many people.

“Where is the G-da**ed f***ing flag? I want the G-dam**d f***ing flag up every f***ing morning at f***ing sunrise.” – Hillary to the staff at the Arkansas Governor’s mansion on Labor Day, 1991

“F*** off! It’s enough that I have to see you sh**-kickers every day, I’m not going to talk to you too!! Just do your G*dam job and keep your mouth shut.” - Hillary to her State Trooper body guards after one of them greeted her with “Good Morning.”

Her rages continued when she moved into the white house and the secret service more than once had to pull her off of her husband after she attacked him.

And this is the thing that people actually want running the country? Sheesh! That's enough to make me sick. I live in America, not some country being run by a socialist - just say NO to Clinton.

Any suggestions on how to keep my sanity if she actually does become president? I've thought about citizenship to another country but not sure if that would solve anything.

Acutally, I'm a little excited, but I do know he is one of the most conservative on the list Bush sm

chose from on the list of people who were less likely to be fillerbustered.

Contrarily, on Hannity and Coombs last night it was reported that he was very involved and enthusiastic about this case, and I think that he was justified in doing so given the magnitude of the injustices against gays.  It's commendable.
