I'm sorry

I'm sorry for all of you who strongly support John McCain.  His performance last night, and I say performance because that's what it was on both sides, was pathetic.

I don't care that Obama said, "when I'm president."  Over the years I've heard that so much from politicians, I expect it.  I think McCain REALLY blew it when he referred to Obama as "that guy."  Very disrespectful. And that's about all that was said from either candidate that stuck in my mind.

Let's try to think positively.  None of us know what kind of president Obama will be but I suspect we are about to find out.

1.  He will raise our taxes.  Are any of you old enough to remember Bush Sr?  "Read my lips, no new taxes."  Obama will raise taxes.  McCain would raise taxes.

2.  Obama's association with "terrorists."  I'm not all that familiar with Ayers but why isn't he in jail?  If Obama was his bosom buddy back in the 60s, that's a long time ago.  Since Obama was 8 years old I doubt he had much meaninful association with him.  Personally I have questions as to whether our very government was involved in 9/11 but then that's a whole 'nuther story.

3.  I suspect Obama (and his wife in particular) ARE racists and the Black Power or whatever it's called may well play a part in his administration, or they'll try.  This worries me.

Sooooooo let's start putting our energy and effort into trying to change what is wrong about our government.  First, VOTE, please vote.  I believe that our government got where it is today due to good people who stayed home and didn't vote.  If you can't stomach either of these candidates, and I really can't, then do a write-in.  Make your voice heard.  Since it looks like Obama is going to win, and I would put my vote on him to vote AGAINST McCain, I will  go back to my Plan A, that is, I will do a write-in for Lou Dobbs. Please.....don't write in "Mickey Mouse" or something equally ridiculous, write-in a person you think would make a good president.  Make your voice heard whether anyone listens or not.  At least you will know you tried.

After the election bombard your congress people with emails and telephone calls.  STAY INFORMED and let them know what you want them to do.  If they don't vote according to your ieals, VOTE THEM OUT OF OFFICE when they come up for re-election.

Lastly, please pray if you are a believer.  IF you are  not a believer, please give the candidate, Jesus Christ, the courtesy of research and study and maybe, just maybe, you will find that he really is the candidate of choice in all things.
