I did not say he was staunch, only that he is a Cal pub.

does not suddenly transform it into a statement aimed at calling you any name. In fact, I did not direct any statement to you directly...but you chose to take it personally and proceeded to insinuate that I am judgmental. Some people might construe that as name calling. Furthermore, you do not seem to be interested in having any sort of conversation over the schism in the GOP, which might actually take the dialog to a more intelligent and respectful level. Therefore, we are in agreement. I, too, am not looking for a fight here....plenty of that to go around on this board. I am simply looking for direct answers to direct questions...a true rare find on this forum.

PS. The word "should" as posited in the "should I be translating" question is in the subjunctive mood...questioning a HYPOTHETICAL situation. No disrespect intended, but taken just the same.

Was it the word staunch that set you off or...sm
that you don't even like Arnold to be called a republican. Not the poster your were talking to but this seems like a pretty petty argument here. He belongs to your party until he defects to ours, not worth getting upset about. Vote him out next time is all I can say. I live in one of the bluest states and we have a republican governor, Go figure! We do have 2 democrats and 1 independent in Congress though! You probably wouldn't think our governor was a staunch republican either. LOL!
Though I am a staunch Democrat, Ron Paul

had my interest.  We need to get back to the constitution.  That's another thing about Obama.  He taught the constitution and said he would reinstate the writ of habeus corpus.  Hillary has not said a word about reinstating writ of habeus corpus.  Telling, I think.  But before knowing what Obama was about, really listening to what he was saying, I was in favor of Ron Paul, he's a respectable guy.

    Staunch Republican? Yeah, right!
    xx
And? On which side are you on? You are a staunch conservative, a republican?..sm
All of a sudden you cheer with the progressive Liberals?
Or is it because you are afraid of the 'hidden weapons of mass destruction?'
