Usually we get shoved out of the way when we go to eat places like buffets where there is a black crowd. Yet if we did it, it'd be a "hate crime" and we'd be arrested.
Oh wait I forgot this scenario: We went to our towns little carnival where they serve all kinds of different food and the black folk in the area (it was only on one street a block wide) started chanting "Obama" and getting all hyper and out of order and knocked over a little white boy and when the dad started yelling at them to chill out they started in on him being a racist and the cops made HIM leave. Amazing.
SO yeah, unless you were at a KKK fish fry, I find that hard to believe.

Your spin on words is very unique. However, the ecomony is already in a "bad way" to put it simply. I highly doubt McCain can fix it overnight either especially by taxing our healthcare contributions when most of us don't even have healthcare to begin with. He did speak out against wrong doing and sometimes LOUDLY and with force. Don't forget the moneychangers' tables. Maybe you don't know what that was about but that was a HUGE thing in Jesus' time and doing so took great courage. Are you saying he hated because he disapproved of what they were doing? He never said let wrongdoing continue. I guess you would call him judgemental, huh? He said love those, regardless, not take part and go along with them and their beliefs.

Anyone bombing anything in the name of Christ
needs to rethink who they say they are "in the name of". I do not believe a true Christian would harm anyone to prove a point or say that it was in the name of Christ. These people have their ideas twisted. We are to hate the SIN of abortion, not the abortionist. God will deal with them in His own time, it is not for us to do.

tells us this behavior is "abominable." Dysfunctional and disgusting is in the same category. Saying something is disgusting or bad or wrong is not judging. It's stating a fact. Tell me how to love my fellow man who insists on being labeled as a sinful behavior that I'm required to hate. Hate the sin, love the sinner doesn't fly in the homosexual community. Can we hate murder but love the murderer? Can we hate stealing but love the thief? Tell us all how to do that when it's hard to separate the two, especially if someone wants to be labeled as a particular sin. Impossible, I say.

but loved the sinner. A PERSON is not labeled as a particular sin, they have committed a particular sin, big difference.
May be hard to separate the two, but it is what Christ commanded. If you take on the name of a Christian you are commanded to be Christ like. We are human and we fail, but if you consistently have this attitude, it makes me wonder if Christ is just in your head or really in your heart.

When Christianity started out it was a tiny, obscure "and left wing" type of religion, even labeled an insane cult, but it cretainly thrived, even with rabid Roman prosecution....God even put His seat on earth, supposedly, in Rome, is that no irony, and does it not show the might of the Lord? Perhaps the percentages will change in the future between the major religions, but in the end, belief of a higher power, belief in goodness, honesty, truth, kindness, charity, love, equity, righteousness, morals....all fo that was not "copywrited" from the Christians. Jesus, his family, his followers were all Jews, Jesus NEVER renounced Judaism, just the hypocritcal sects that had grown up in the temples, and the apostes saw Christianity as an addition of rules and precepts from the Master IN ADDITION to their Jewish heritage.....If we are strong in our faith, we should not worry about what percent of population is Christian.

I could think of a lot of adjectives that would describe what being a Christian means to me but I am seeing none of that here from people whose greatest claim is that they are devout Christians. I have a right to speak
out about the incompetency of the supposed "leader" of the free world. Each episode of ignorance, distortion of facts, and deception needs to be brought into the light and examined repeatedly. It is cumulative. I brush aside the label of "bush bashing" as another neocon attempt to frame the issue. I will continue to post as I wish and to refuse to engage in discussion with anyone whose purpose is simply to gain attention, even if negative. I do feel compassion for those so abused and ignored throughout life that they will take any acknowledgement as life-affirming, but I do not take it upon myself to feed their insatiable desire to be noticed. I am encouraged by the split in the repub party into small groups of supporters, but the dems have got this pres election in the bag anyway not only due to their fresh, positive approach but the self-destruction of the repubs by their own arrogance and corruption.
I can only speak to myself....
but I pray concerning basically every decision I make. Not because I think the decision is God's will, but that whatever His will will be done. I saw the same clip (I think) and I think that is what Palin meant, not that the pipeline itself was specifically God's will, but to pray for the success of the venture, ask that it go well, but in the end, God's will be done. God is very real to us and praying is just communicating with him. Talking to him. It is a relationship, like with a dear friend. That is the best short description I can give. This is from my experience only. Others may not have the same experience.
