I think....

it is a right if people are responsible.  Just like owning a house.  I think everyone has a right to own their own house....if they are responsible.  If you aren't responsible and make poor choices.....sorry about your luck.  But others shouldn't have to pay for another's poor choices in life.

There are people who I believe need assistance and I have no problem with them receiving that help.  However, there are too many people who make really bad choices in life and people who have made good choices and worked hard shouldn't have to pay for it.  I believe that rings true for everything and not just health care.

If someone doesn't work, can't feed or clothe themself....yet can afford their cigarettes, their beer in the fridge, their drugs, are obese....etc......then no.....that person doesn't have a right because they aren't responsible and no one should have to pay for that person.

When it comes to health care, I want all preventative things covered.  I think insurance companies claiming pre-existing condition for everything is just crazy and wrong.  However, I don't think they should have to pay for something if it truly is pre-existing.  This is just another case of how liars have ruined programs for honest people who need them.  The honest folks get screwed because the liars are too busy trying to get something for nothing.

That right there is one of America's biggest problems.....the liars and crooks who try and get something for nothing and the honest folks who make good decisions end up paying for it.  That isn't fair.  It isn't right.  We shouldn't enable them to mooch off of us and the government.  It doesn't do anything but cause more people to stop doing for themselves....and that is just more people that the honest folks have to support.

If this is what you want.....then by all means....vote for Obama.  Enable more people to mooch off of the government and make the honest working folks pay for it all.

Obama notes that McCain offers families a $5,000 tax credit to buy health insurance. He then adds, ominously, that there is something McCain is not telling you: a typical family’s health-insurance premium each year is about $12,000. Because McCain is going to tax health benefits that you get through your employer, your employer may stop covering you. You may end up like Obama’s mother, who died of cancer at 53 while battling insurance firms from her hospital bed.

Many people walk away from Obama’s speeches convinced that, under McCain’s plan, they will lose $7,000-worth of health insurance. In fact, since McCain’s tax credit is substantially larger than the tax break on employer-provided insurance that it replaces (which is typically worth less than $3,000), the vast majority will be better off.

Obama wants to use public cash that we do not have to finance a plan that will leave us worse off.

Also....Remember the triangle...Good Fast Cheap. You can have two, but not all three. I'd rather have good and fast health care (which I personally have enjoyed my entire life). Cheap out on something else.
