we women would never have won the right to vote, or own property. They'd still be burning women as 'witches' in Salem, and African-Americans would still be drinking out of separate water fountains and riding in the back of the bus.

.....beyond your understanding. Very few liberals "tolerate" the war in Iraq. Most of us probably find it "intolerable." Just as many of us become nauseated by the right-winger(s) posting on this board under the pretense of "I just want to understand your position better" when the actual intent is to mock and belittle. "Liberal" also does not denote naive fool and you are fooling no one with your disingenous posts, hence the nausea you produce. I believe part of the quality of liberalism is to be accepting of others' lifestyles, belief systems, race, color, creed, etc. but it is not to accept or tolerate cruelty, bigotry, hatred, violence, etc. This is such a basic concept I can't believe I'm explaining it!!
This is the mindset and belief of the
elected. True born-again believers, Christians, cannot vote for this person. He does not stand for anything that God teaches us. He claims to be a believer, but I am afraid of what he does and does not believe in. I am sure there are some Christians who are persuaded they are right in voting for him and so be it. But every person who speaks out against Jesus Christ, the Church, and anything moral and decent will quickly defend Obama and be proud of it! WHY?

They sit around with half empty glasses thinking of ways to change the world to suit them. The thing is, if they ever lived in a truly socialistic society, their glass would be lucky to be half empty instead of empty all the time. A bunch of malcontents. Sad.

I was talking about the effect the antiwar movement had on the war and how the war was conducted because of it. I don't know where the rest of what you are saying came from but it wasn't from my post.

Rove's "grid of hate" created this partisan mentality and the dems are probably trying to get even for getting kicked around for how many years? 1994-2006? This benefits no one. I say flush the whole dam bunch and start over, too. Obama trusted them to write an economic stimulus plan and they failed miserably. I don't blame Obama - I blame his advisors. He needs to stick a shiv in their backs and do his job without their input.
