Do you really want to live under a socialist dictator. If so I think you are in the wrong country. I think there is plenty of room in Cuba or other socialists/communist countries.
Let it rest. She is not going to be president and she is not going to be VP - Even Palosi (sp?) said it's not a good idea. I trust her judgment more than Hillary's and the other feminists pushing for her. Besides...that is just what Obama needs...someone with their hand on the assassination button only too happy to push the button so that she can finally sleeze herself into the seat.
Even the top democrats who kept pushing and pushing for her to be the nominee last night started saying what in the world is going on? Why isn't she conceding? Why isn't she congratulating Barack? Why is she being announced by Terry McAulife as the next president when all votes have been counted and she lost and they know it? Have they totally lost their mind?????
She has no decent characterists about her. Everything is "me, me, me". Not once whenever Barack won a state did she congratulate him, yet everytime she won a state he congratulated her. Now she's giving a speech last night, does not mention the enormous victory this country has finally having a person of color (even though he's half white) win the nomination. Come on - that is a huge victory! And lastly she says "Thank you South Dakota, you had the last word" when Montana's voting booths had not even closed. Oh, which just so happened to be in Barack's favor (oh lets just forget them, their votes don't count because they didn't vote for me). She's a disgrace to the human race! Moreover she's a disgrace to all women!

Blaming Bush for the trillions that the O is spending??? Excuse me, but the O way outdid anything Bush did in 8 years, it took the O less than 90 days to make it triple worse. You didn't like that Bush spent money, but your okay with the O spending triple the deficit Bush had????? That is not Bush's fault and sorry but that "aint gonna fly".
No they are not trying to "frantically keep us from another great depression". How does giving money to CEO/executives, authorizing millions upon millions in bonuses (then trying to take it back when they hear Americans are not happy - they (the crats) are the ones who authorized it to begin with). Then there is bailing out companies and not enforcing them to use the money to help the company but instead they pocket it and ask for another bailout and they give it to them again, and saying we're giving money to the American banks but instead having it go oversees to bail out other countries banks, and letting our jobs go overseas and telling the people that they are giving the jobs to "oh well those are jobs that Americans don't want anyway". How does drafting kids 18-24, bowing to the S.A. King then lying to us about it, telling other country we are not a great country, but Americans are selfish and irresponsible (among other things he has said), and the other things he has done to destroy our country and who knows what he has told our enemies about us. Not to mention the lies he told us during the campaign like how he was going to pull the troops home, but instead he is sending more to war (a war that he said was "unjust"), how he was going to not increases taxes for people making under 250K, I mean 200K, I mean 175K, I mean 150K. Then we have the FM/FM situation which was caused by the crats in the congress (B. Franks, C. Dodd, etc) and they are the ones who benefited the most, along with your lord the anointed one, which by the way began long before Bush got in there. It started in the Clinton presidency. Lets see...there was how he was going get rid of the patriot act, yet he signed it and it's even worse than when Bush was in. How he was going to tax only the 1% wealthiest, yet my taxes are going up (and I'm by far no where near $150K mark) along with other people who are making around what I make, yet his wealthiest few friends (those 1%) are not paying taxes, and his cabinet is filled with people who don't pay their taxes but that's okay, and he promises change but he fills his cabinet with left-wing Clintonites (no change there). The only changes we the people are seeing are more companies laying off, more people losing houses, more jobs going overseas, etc, etc. He boasted of being the only one to be able to bring the two party's together (you know that nonpartisonship thing), yet there is no equality. He has chosen what...2 or 3 republicans in his cabinet (and yet they vote more democrat than republican). The rest are crat stooges that don't know what they are doing. Uh, tell me, how is all that going to keep us from a depression. And sorry you don't get to use the "This is all Bush's fault" excuse. That aint gonna fly anymore. You cannot blame Bush for the depression the messiah is putting us in. I'm hoping next time the idjits will remember the damage the anointed one and the crats are doing to destroy our country and vote sensibly. I'm hoping a third party will emerge from all this destruction and work for the people. There is no difference between the crat/pubs they all work for themselves. We need real leaders who will work for the people of the country, get us out of this recession/depression, re-establish our once was great nation, and restore credibility to our country. Brother, talk about trying have a serious discussion. Anytime someone says something negative about what's going on currently they have to say Bush this or Bush that, when the conversation wasn't even about Bush to begin with. It's like what I heard earlier by a democrat on TV. He said if you make fun of Bush it's okay, if you make fun of Obama its not. If you make fun of Palin it's okay if you make fun of Helen Thomas or some other democrat it's not. This is getting very one-sided and it's sad to see what is happening to the country.
I still stand by my original message though that I'm sick and tired of seeing all these specials about the life and times of Obama treating him as though he founded a whole new country, when we've been around for over 200 years and have done very well before he came along.

President Bush may have tried to claim a little bit of the legacy of Coretta Scott King with a warm and generous reference to her at the opening of his State of the Union address this week, but it should be remembered that King was a foe of this president and a frequent critic of his abuses of power.
On the eve of the invasion of Iraq in 2003, King celebrated the anniversary of the birth of her late husband, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., by recalling that the slain civil rights leader had been outspoken in his opposition to unnecessary and unwise wars.
We commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. as a great champion of peace who warned us that war was a poor chisel for carving out a peaceful tomorrow. We must pursue peaceful ends through peaceful means. Martin said, 'True peace is not just the absence of tension, it is the presence of justice,' Coretta King told a crowd that had gathered at Atlanta's Ebenezer Baptist Church. She continued, May his challenge and his example guide and inspire us to seek peaceful alternatives to a war with Iraq and military conflict in the Middle East.
Coretta King continued to speak out against the Bush administration's policy of pre-emptive war-making, and she always make it clear that she disagreed passionately with this president.

If they were, she added, I think we would have more peace and more justice.
There will be many celebrations of Coretta Scott King's brave and inspiring life, as well as her rich legacy of activism.
But none will be so appropriate as those that recall her absolute opposition to this president's illegal and immoral war-making.

You DO NOT add more debt by adding more trillions then turning around and blaming it on the previous administration. He needs to listen to the economists. He has just increased our deficit in the trillions. This is nothing the previous administration did. This is something that the current administration did, and no fault of the previous administrations. They did this by themselves without the input of anyone with any sense. He didn't have to do this to our country and our children and granchildrens future but he did. So, yes, we are blaming the current administration. This was not the solution to get us out of debt - spend more money. Especially since the "more money" does nothing to stimulate the economy and create jobs. It has gone overseas to other banks and to the most wealthiest in this country. Once again we have another administration who cares nothing (by their own actions) about the American people and getting our economy back on track.

You see, there's a conflation between the principle of "nonviolence" and "acceptance of lifestyles" going on here, and it's very, very calculated and it's very, very deliberate.
In fact, "acceptance" is really an inadequate basis for nonviolence - if you stop for a moment to think about it - because I am obliged to be nonviolent toward people whose lifestyles not even you would suggest that that I (or my children) should EVER "accept".

I gotta tell ya, I dont believe it is true. I live in an extremely republican conservative bible belt air force area (what the heck am I doing here..smile) and the democrat party through the 1990s was doing okay but the republican party sure was flourishing. I have seen through the 2000s the democratic party has grown quite a bit and more people moving into this rural area are signing on to the democratic party. We also have a lot of unions here, Farm Workers and such as this is a major area where immigrant workers pick crop year round. Well, the unions have pushed for the democratic party and its working. This reminds me of the 1990s with Newt Gingrich, he was gonna change America. Well he is no where now. Americans might be apolitical most of the time but when they get fed up, they get fed up and they vote their frustration and with this administration, there is so much distrust, knowlege that Bush lied about war and our brave military has paid the price, the deficit will affect my children and my childrens children, the policies he has passed do not benefit me or the working class, only the corporations. Change is gonna come..its frustrating waiting for the change but its gonna come.

Found this on another political message board and thought it might be an interesting read here. I know we don't all hold the same opinions on the war and on President Bush, but take a couple of minutes to read this and give it some thought.

President Bush did make a bad mistake in the war on
terrorism. But the mistake was not his decision to go to
war in Iraq . Bush's mistake came in his belief that
this country is the same one his father fought for in WWII.
It is not.
Back then, they had just come out of a vicious depression.
The country was steeled by the hardship of that depression,
but they still believed fervently in this country. They knew
that the people had elected their leaders, so it was the
people's duty to back those leaders.
Therefore, when the war broke out the people came together,
rallied behind, and stuck with their leaders, whether they
had voted for them or not or whether the war was going
badly or not.
And war was just as distasteful and the anguish just as
great then as it is today. Often there were more casualties
in one day in WWII than we have had in the entire Iraq war.
But that did not matter. The people stuck with the
President because it was their patriotic duty. Americans
put aside their differences in WWII and worked together to
win that war.
Everyone from every strata of society, from young to old
pitched in. Small children pulled little wagons around to
gather scrap metal for the war effort. Grade school
students saved their pennies to buy stamps for war bonds to
help the effort.
Men who were too old or medically 4F lied about their age
or condition trying their best to join the military.
Women doubled their work to keep things going at home. Harsh rationing of everything from gasoline to soap, to
butter was imposed, yet there was very little complaining.
You never heard prominent people on the radio belittling
the President. Interestingly enough in those days there
were no fat cat actors and entertainers who ran off to
visit and fawn over dictators of hostile countries and
complain to them about our President. Instead, they made
upbeat films and entertained our troops to help the
troops' morale. And a bunch even enlisted.
And imagine this: Teachers in schools actually started the
day off with a Pledge of Allegiance, and with prayers for
our country and our troops!
Back then, no newspaper would have dared point out certain
weak spots in our cities where bombs could be set off to
cause the maximum damage. No newspaper would have dared
complain about what we were doing to catch spies.. A
newspaper would have been laughed out of existence if it
had complaine d that German or Japanese soldiers were being
'tortured' by being forced to wear women's
underwear, or subjected to interrogation by a woman, or
being scared by a dog or did not have air conditioning.
There were a lot of things different back then. We were not
subjected to a constant bombardment of pornography,
perversion and promiscuity in movies or on radio. We did
not have legions of crack heads, dope pushers and armed
gangs roaming our streets.
No, President Bush did not make a mistake in his handling
of terrorism. He made the mistake of believing that we
still had the courage and fortitude of our fathers. He
believed that this was still the country that our fathers
fought so dearly to preserve.
It is not the same country. It is now a cross between
Sodom and Gomorra and the land of Oz. We did unite for a
short while after 9/11, but our attitude changed when we
found out that defending our country would require some sacrifices.
We are in great danger. The terrorists are fanatic
Muslims. They believe that it is okay, even their duty, to
kill anyone who will not convert to Islam. It has been
estimated that about one third or over three hundred
million Muslims are sympathetic to the terrorists cause...
Hitler and Tojo combined did not have nearly that many
potential recruits. So... We either win it - or lose it -
and you ain't gonna like losing.
America is not at war. The military is at war.
America is at the mall, or watching the movie stars.
(Remember Obama said in his book 'Audacity of
Hope', 'I will stand with the Muslims should the
political winds shift in an ugly direction'.....what
better place for the Muslims to control our country, than
in the office of the President of USA .

As more and more states start to adopt gay marriage. To be able to give the opportunity for two people who love each other to be able to take vows and commit their lives to each other, well you can sit and weep about it because whether you want to believe it or not their vows will be taken in the sight and blessings of God (or whichever deity anyone believes in).
The vows clearly state...

So...just because you don't approve of gay marriage and you don't think it's a reality doesn't make it the truth. The reality is people take their vows in the sight of God and God loves everyone. Nobody needs you or anyone to approve of it or not. They will be legally married with a marriage license and all. Whether you think it's reality or not is of such little importance. The two people devoting their lives to each other in the sight of God believe it is important, and they will finally be afforded a human right which should have never been kept from them to begin with. I for one am very happy and will push whatever is necessary to get it approved in our state.
