O'Reilly was on the Daily Show
the other night.  Did you see it?  It was pretty funny.
wow did anybody catch the daily show

depended on it.

Deliverance, anyone?

Huh? It's the Daily Show for crying out
It was funny. Or are they not allowed to make fun of Fox, CNN, and MSNBC?
New daily TV show, right in the corner of my TV screen....sm.
Obama Live.

Saw another headline the other day, regarding Co-Presidency. And I always thought we could only have one at a time. Boy, was I wrong.
Daily Show is gonna be killer tonight :)
Anybody here watch The DailyShow with Jon Stewart?
I watch Daily Show & O'Reilly and split the difference! NM

McCain's speech was very good (sm)
He hit on many key issues and stated his case on crossing party lines to change policies.  I truly believe that he will lead this country into better times.  He hates war but will not run away if America needs defending, nor will he negotiate with terrorists.  More jobs, less taxes, less foreign oil dependency, school choice.  Bringing the government back to the people!  Isn't that who it belongs to?
McCain gave an eloquent speech
I felt sad watching his speech. You could tell it is a big dissappointment for him and all conservatives.

His speech was eloquent and sincere.
The complete text of John McCain's speech, sm

For those who, like me, were not able to hear it on television.

McCain's speech was well written (for him, I doubt he wrote it himself), but he is not a great s
He does not have 'it'.
Obama has 'it'.
Well done, Obama.

Jon Stewart on the evacuation of New Orleans:
You can't just rush in there. The federal government can't just usurp
the
power of the states -- unless New Orleans is in some type of persistent
vegetative state...

Jon Stewart does it again!

This is hilarious!

To all you GEICO fans out there:  Little Richard translates for Bush.

LOL..I love Jon Stewart..
their hypocrisy!
Stewart is very funny

but I really am concerned that the humor and personal attacks are distracting people from the true issue of the future of our country.  It is not important to me what a candidate eats or how well they dance. I don't need the candidate to be "like me."  I want the cream of the crop, the person who reads historical biographies for fun and does crosswords in ink. We simply cannot elect the same policies over and over and expect different results. Let's hear concrete plans, not slogans.

Jon Stewart's take on the debates. If easily offended do not watch. He picks on McCain more, but picks on Obama too.

Jon Stewart interviews Elizabeth Warren...

...overseer of the TARP Program.  Though it's pretty funny, it's also very informative and explained in a way that most people can "get," and I highly recommend it to those who are interested.

It's a two-part video, and I believe it's worth watching, though, unfortunately, some people will probably criticize it without even bothering to watch it in its entirety).

Beck says - almost every show - that he is NOT doing a news show.
He does an opinion show - meaning HIS opinion. As such, he's entitled to stick pins in little Obama dolls for all I care.

I can hear Chris Wallace laughing at you folks from here because it's pretty obvious whoever wrote that knows zip about Beck, or Wallace for that matter. In fact, I can't think what Wallace has to do with Beck anyway. Everyone of INTELLIGENCE who watches Beck and Wallace is perfectly aware that one does one type of show and the other does another.

But what do you expect from one of George Soros' puppet sites like Media Matters and Move Bowels.org?

You really should delete your Favorites list and start over.

Congratulations to all of you who have hoped Obama would win.  I am very happy to have a black man in office, because of all that represents to so many people.  I think that part is a huge historical step in the right direction.  I am also disappointed because of the areas where I disagree with Obama.  But we can't have it all, and truly neither candidate offered everything I would hope for.

With that said, McCain basically asked us all to unify in his speech last night.  And I believe he did so because he knows that if we are to survive as a country, that is what we must do.  Whether you believe he wrote the speech or not, he spoke the words in front of everyone....basically the world was watching...and I don't believe he would have said things he did not mean.

On a sad note, a dear friend of mine, who is black, stopped at a gas station early this morning and overhead a white man talking saying, "that n***** is going to run this country into the ground."  I was heartbroken to hear that.  I know racism goes both ways but we have to encourage everyone we know to not have that sort of attitude!!!!

Later this morning, I myself went into a convenient store.  There was an Indian man working the register and a black man buying a lottery ticket, and me, a white woman.  I smiled and said good morning.  The black man looked at me and said, "I can't let Obama outdo me! I need to win the lottery now!" He was obviously happy that Obama won so I said, "oh, you're looking for a double win!" He said, "yes!" and I wished him good luck but told him my dad would be trying to win too and if he wins I get some money :-)  He smiled and the guy at the register smiled...I told them all to have a nice day.

Can't we all just be kind to one another?

look who's talking....our very own daily "sm".....

Show me who your friends are and I’ll show you who you are.’
This subject is not old, and is very, very relevant.

Obama's friends/associates (supposedly former friends and associates, only since this campaign):

Ayers

Wright

Dorhn

Michelle

Khalidi

The company he keeps:

I find it very, very troubling, that this man has no visible friends, other than the ones above (not Michelle, although she has been kept under lock and key out of public sight for some time now, so as to keep her from embarrassing herself again).

Does this man not have any other friends/associates, other than the ones above?

anchorage daily news states Palin

is stonewalling on trooper investigation

http://www.adn.com/opinion/story/516641.html

The point is....Sarah Palin does not do it on a daily basis....
in fact I haven't seen it documented that she did it all, much less all the time; and it is controlled and not done "for fun" as the posteror suggested. As you will note, decisions are made when and where to do it by a board that also has "the public" on it. So it is not all lawmakers or the state that make the decisions. The page I took it from is the wildlife conservation page.

Are you sure that they do that? If they wing them they just leave them?
I am not aware of any daily idiotic Biden statements.
I'd be happy to play that game while you furiously scour the blogs for a snappy comeback in defense of the indefensible. SP is obviously note even vaguely familiar with the US constitution or with the very limited authority the VP office will offer to her. Still, if you insist, feed me some gaffes and give me something to do. It beats the heck out of responding to Obama Moslem terrorist socialist communist unAmerican hate speech.
Daily Kos, HufPo, Democratic Underground, NY Times, MSNBC.....
Bill Maher, the list goes on and on......
You explain Biden's idiotic daily statements first, and why they are acceptable.
oh wait, that's right...he gets a free pass with all that 35 year history, confident, trustworthiness stuff.....

nevermind
If f the Hufpo, MSNBC, Daily Kos bathrobe pundit sheeple
did they manage to pull off the 7.2% margin/192 electoral vote mandate in Nov and what does that that say about all you Bush babblers who couldn't figure out how to outsmart them?
But lately, you;ve contributed daily to the toxic liberal posts on this board.

Why are you McCain people so desperate? You are just like McCain. No plan. Just criticism of the
other candidate.  I guess you want the same old thing we have had for the past 8 years.  God forbid McCain win with that wild woman, Palin.
Love, love, love John Stewart. . .

the bit about the open microphone on McCain during the debate was brilliant!!! I laughed until I literally cried!!  By the way, Michelle Obama was warm, intelligent, sincere and very much First Lady material!!!

the speech

I heard, I am very old and I suffered greatly at the hands of the enemy.  Did I ever tell you I was a POW?  I suffered greatly.  Please feel sorry for me and vote for me.  I deserve it.  I suffered greatly.  No economic plan, no health insurance plan, just  I suffered greatly.  Sarah's speech was John suffered greatly.  No one else has suffered as much as he.  Joe Biden's loss of family members and Obama's struggle with identity because of being mixed race do not qualify.  This is an election about the issues of the american people not a Queen for A Day episode where the person with the saddest story gets a new washing machine.
