I am well aware that I am on a *left leaning* board; however, how can you ever possibly gain a true picture of real facts if you only visit left leaning sites?  It isn't possible. I don't do it. In fact, on the other political boards I post on, some left and some right, Daily Kos, Democratic Underground, News Max, Fox, are not used as sources. 

You misunderstand me about the Constitution and Iraq.

What happened was greed. Honesty has fallen by the wayside. Businesses looked out for their employees and took care of them. You had a secure job, decent health care, and even a pension to look forward to receiving when you were old enough to retire.

Very slowly, health care and insurance companies got greedy, followed by hospitals, banks, real estate brokers, Wall Street, and so-called investment companies.  The attitude of "If they can do it and get away with it, then so can I" came into being. Companies started cutting back on what they would contribute to health plans and retirement plans, followed by excess charges by hospitals because health insurances stopped paying what the hospital charged and became a vicious circle . The less health insurance paid, the more hospitals charged for their services.

You used to only be able to get a mortgage through a bank. Then, mortgage companies came into being. Everyone jumped on the bandwagon. Very good profit made there, but they wanted more of the profit. As long as the mortgages were guaranteed by FM/FM, it was good. So they pushed more mortgages...didn't matter if you couldn't afford it. The housing bubble began. Real estate brokers inflated prices of homes because there would be more profit for themselves. Mortgage companies made more profit because of the inflated prices.

Wall Street started offering hedge funds. Sort of like gambling. Lots of money in that. They wanted more. Investment brokers started ponzi schemes. People bought into them because they wanted more.

My whole point is, in a round about way, is that our society was doing fine until greed took over in all walks of life and what you end up with is what we are dealing with today. It has to correct itself now but, in the process, a lot of people are getting hurt who don't deserve it.

Along comes this president who promises to fix everything. Almost everyone jumps on the bandwagon. He "suggests" legislation to "help", congress and the senate starts pushing legislation through in the first few weeks that really won't help those that deserve the help and because it's within the first 100 days of the honeymoon, people aren't wise to what's in the packages. All they heard was "tax the rich". Well, sooner or later that will be you and me because there won't be anybody making $250,000. If he destroys the companies/people  that make $250,000 or more, he destroys our jobs. Then watch what happens. The rich will be $100,000, then $75,000, then $50,000. After that, everyone will have no choice but to depend on the government for everything. In return, we have socialism and/or communism. Government will run everything.

I better get off my  now.

I've gotta say that this race would be a lot closer if it were based on the popular vote instead of the electoral vote.  Even though I lean to the left, I don't think this is a fair election.  I've always favored a popular vote rather than an electoral vote.

We are talking about the president speaking at a christian school.  He knew where he was at.  Christian schools are going to have religious symbols.  It is a part of their school.  Frankly, as a christian school, if I had to hide any religious symbols just to get a speaker, I wouldn't have that speaker whether it was the pres or anyone else.

No matter what O lovers say, he is Muslim through and through.  And he says nothing about all the Muslim "honor" killings in this country.  He hasn't condemned them one time.  Of course, by doing so he would condemn his brothers in Islam. 

Muslim killings are an every day happening overseas but in this country they are growing by leaps and bounds and yet they get very little news following.  It gets hushed very quickly.   WHy is that?  There is no "honor" in murder and most all of us know that is murder, just some ignorant man using his loathing for females to murder them......even his own daughters.   How sick!
