American auto companies have done everything wrong. Catering to Bigger is Better, kept the U.S. addicted to foreign oil that much longer, which is a LOT more un-American than buying a foreign car, especially considering that if they are built here they create American jobs; totally win-win. I can't see rewarding companies for having no foresight & for building an inferior product by bailing them out. Survival of the fittest, & in this case it's foreign car makers.

Unions, BTW, are like the pig in Animal Farm. They were needed at one point in history but now are as bad & power-hungry as the factions they were designed to control. Bleeding union dues from people & making it impossible to fire inferior slackers.
