I too checked out the conservative board when we had the change to this new format, but I got the same feeling there as I do when driving past a really bad road accident - a deep sense of sadness and profound pity. So I don't go there anymore. They are unable stay away from the liberal board though, I notice...like moths to a flame, unable to help themselves. I think they sense the end is near and the tight knitting is unraveling. In my opinion they could have saved themselves the trauma simply by realizing that you can't base a political movement on lies, slander and deception and expect it to somehow turn out respectable at the end of the day. You sow lies and malice, you get a crop of lies and malice. That's a good biblical lesson and it's hard to see how they never learned it, or how they can be so indignant about their own rightful harvest.
No doubt we'll hear more about how hateful liberals are. Yes, we hatefully want American citizens to retain their rights, to have healthcare for all, to keep the land and the rivers clean, to make sure our leaders are accountable for what they do and say, and to make sure that corporations and rich people both pay their fair share of national income and have no special interest advantage over the rest of us. That is how hateful liberals are and that is our evil agenda. Better look out, if those evil librals are elected next, they're gonna...why, they're gonna...make sure Bobby can go to the doctor again! OOOh they make me so darned mad!! LOL - there is just no accounting for the fact that some people will simply pull against their own best interests no matter what.
So no, liberals and progressives and Democrats aren't full of hate. We're the only ones with comedians. We're the only ones who dream big with a mind to improving life for ALL Americans, not just a select wealthy few. And no, we don't buy the spin about a death tax and we don't buy the line that we must sacrifice and sacrifice and sweat blood for the good of America - by which they mean the solvency of obscene corporate profit and governmental welfare to the top 2%. Sorry. That's just not right. We don't hate anyone. We want both businesses and individuals to do well and this is entirely possible but ONLY possible from the bottom up. It's only possible by exercising restraint and integrity and accountability across the board. Naturally the wealthy and privileged want to hoard their money and advantage - it's only human nature. But it gets out of hand as we see, and they will lie and lie and try to make us think we can't believe our own eyes and ears and experience if we allow them to get away with it. You conservatives - you enable this deception by buying into the notion that you can't know what's good for yourself. You let the robbers loot your own pantry and nod when they tell you they're going next door to loot there too, and it's all for your own good, and what a great American you are for allowing it. They may even give you a medal and a promotion. You will be called a really good guy. You'll be part of a club. And for the sake of feeling that good, you will sell your country down the drain, you will even shout as we all swirl down the depths that it is liberals who are trying to destroy the country. You just don't realize the damage you are doing. But do we hate you? No. We'd welcome you to the bright side anytime once you realized it's better to advocate for all Americans than to wish death on half of them at any given moment. So drop the hate talk, take a good think about who your master really is. Is that some master you really want to serve, or do you want to get back on track making this once again the greatest and most enviable nation on earth?
