Do you folks never tire of being scared and scaring each other? There is bigotry and there is racism, both of which pervaded during this election cycle in the media and at pub rallies. To deny this is so is truly beyond ridiculous. Yours is a very small, dark world view, unfounded in reality and not worthy of further comment.

Mailing hundreds, thousands, or hundreds of thousands of red envelopes is a waste of time and money. It is not going to have any effect on the abortion law, and the only winner is the post office. Can't you people think of more constructive ways to support a cause?

When O took the office, yes, I would hopeful and happy, but only time can judge how his presidency will play out, the effectiveness. I am totally disoriented and angry about this "package" we now have, but never took a sip of Kooi-Aid, hate the stuff. And by the way, there are plenty of Bush-Cheney Zombies still singing the praises, spewing the rhetoric of a disastrous presidency, but we all have to get over it and deal with NOW or kiss true America goodbye. I think it is insane how
insurance companies handle things. For example, my sister-in-law is pregnant and was due more than 2-3 weeks ago. She had to ask permission from her insurance to be induced and they denied her. This woman is in her 40s and should not be allowed to go 2-3 weeks over her due date and yet insurance didn't want to pay for an induction.
We pay the premiums. If we pay our premiums, there is no reason why insurance companies shouldn't pay up when we need them to. That is the problem.
To do away with insurance companies....I don't know. I think you have a misconception about universal healthcare and you might want to look further into this. If the government takes over health care costs, you think things are bad now. You will have to wait longer for things. We will lose some of our best doctors. The government will not pay for elective things like knee replacements, etc. If you have cancer and the government decides your treatment is too experimental or you don't warrant treatment, they have pretty much already signed your death certificate. Government controlled healthcare will be worse than the current insurance problems we have now.
Do things need to change in this area......yes. However, let's make sure that we change it for the better. Government controlled health care is not better.
This is just insane!
What next? I mean...I don't see them going after people who are having superbowl parties or poker night, tupperware parties, Mary Kay parties, etc. Why this Bible study? If this had been a Muslim meeting, lesbian meeting, etc. and they were told they needed a permit to gather at someone's private house......OMG....the news media would be all over this and the ACLU would be involved, etc. However, since this is a pastor having Bible study in his home, he is being attacked and told to get a permit? This is just nuts.

I just find it totally insane that
black people by the thousands worship the all mighty Obama because he is black....he is one of them. They talk about white prejudice and the "white lies," etc. Do they not realize that they are putting down part of Obama as well. They are putting down his white heritage. Granted, one look at the man and you wouldn't even think he had white heritage in him just going by the color of his skin, but still. He doesn't speak ebonics. He wasn't raised in the hood. The man lived in Hawaii and Indonesia. You would think they would truly want a black man who was born and raised in the hood, overcame all of that, turned his life around, got an education, and worked his way up. Instead, they've got a half n half who was predominantly raised in Hawaii by white grandparents and went to an ivy league college. LOL. Does any one else see the irony in this?

So, in this bill are provisions to improve education, rebuild and upgrade our energy grid, improve transportion and infrastructure that is sooo needed, lowers the cost of healthcare, and the list goes on and on. All of these things benefit future generations. My personal favorite project is research and development into alternative fuels. This will provide a completely new industry for future generations as well as reduce our dependency on foreign oil. In case you haven't noticed, current production of just about everything in the US is diminishing. Is that what we want to leave our kids?--- a dwindling country? Yeah, its expensive...very expensive. But the alternative is to do nothing, and that definately will not help future generations.

It's physically impossible for them to stay on the Conservative board because they all agree, and they're not happy unless they can be vile and nasty and mean and stomp people into the ground, all the time wrapping themselves in the Bible and the flag. They have posted bait on the Conservative board, and when nobody bites, they migrate to the Liberal board to get their daily fixes of hate mongering. It must somehow make them feel like they have some power in their pitiful, mundane, unimportant, moronic little lives.
My suggestion is that we don't even read their posts. Let them see that their posts were read 0 times, with no replies. We are providing the fuel for their hatred every time we read or respond to one of their hateful posts.

Waste 101- Hannity haters, do not read
Although I'm not a big fan of Hannity, he had a countdown last night. I'd like to know how does landscaping certain hotels, buildings, etc. contribute to jobs? What happened to the infrastructure spending for roads and bridges that was to create jobs...even though those jobs would be temporary, some projects would have given a year or two of work. It still seems like these jobs are "once and done" jobs.
Even Microsoft gets a bridge across a highway so the workers have easier access to their other building across the highway. Why, since he's #2(?) in Forbes, couldn't he pay for it himself? 
Hopefully, this list will be on line soon. It's not there yet.
The total for the 101 stimulus spending was $1,234,631,672. The good news is at least we know where some of the stimulus/omnibus money is going.

believe these things. Some folks just like to stir the pot. Besides, look how the conservatives have cannibalized themselves in the elections past and have attempted to do so this year (claims in South Carolina of McCain being a traitor, etc.).
