In Reply to: You write/fax/call your state senators over and over and over - and over again...that's what you do! nm

That is exactly what I am doing!!  I also write the White House...whether or not that makes a difference.  I get furious every time I write the Senator (Blanche Lincoln-D) as I get back a "canned" reply telling me why she knows best for her constituents.  Of course she knows what is best for Wal-Mart and Tysons, who just happen to be in her district.  I have given her several big chunks of my mind and I have assured her that in the next election I will work for whomever runs against her and do my best to see that her oponent wins.  She never replied to that one.  LOL

On the other hand, John Boozeman-R, we call as we know him personally.  He is always receptive to our thoughts and I do believe that he does his best to vote as the majority of his constituents wish.  Sometimes I don't agree with the "majority" but I do believe that the majority should rule.

At this point about all any of us can do is raise a BIG fuss about things that aren't right.  If enough people kick up a big enough fuss, then and only then will anything change.  Those politicians want to keep those cushy jobs!  Unfortunately too many wait for "someone else" to get things done.
