Suffice it to say, how low one can go is being demonstrated by you.

Point of fact.

Suffice it to say....
your idea and mine of compassion do not agree. Since you decided the job is done, so be it. Your agenda is to stop this "needless" war. So be that as well. My entire point was that you did not need to descend into ridicule to make your point. Apparently you feel you do. So be THAT as well.

Yes, pride is in no short supply with liberals such as yourself, and your compassion extends to those who agree with you, and those who do not...you demonstrated what happens to those. You do not care who you hurt with your words. That, my friend, is NOT compassion.

Yes, you criticize that which you do not believe. That IS your right. It was also that woman's right. So why react so strongly, just allow the right, and move on preaching to the choir.

The last time I looked, this was an ideological board and the monitor has stated on numerous occasions anyone can post here.

Why is it so threatening to have someone disagree with you? How do you learn anything if you only talk to people who agree with you? Oh, what was I thinking...what could you possibly learn from someone not a "liberal."

Help me here...what does that mean, Think Liberal. What does that mean to you?
And thus you have demonstrated why AG CANNOT post here. Thanks a lot. nm

It has already been demonstrated that the two boards cannot mix.
To answer your question, no, I don't like to hang out with people who espouse my point of view, but the sniping was totally out of hand and no logical debate was taking place.  I go to other web sites for that kind of debate.
Neither can be demonstrated. That's my point.
We have no proof that either system "saves lives". We have to think about the other aspects of the question, such as which one is more efficient (delivers the most value per dollar spent), how they are funded, how they affect the healthcare community in different ways, etc.

There are many, many different systems of government-insured healthcare in the world today, and equally many privately-insured systems. The system in Japan is very different from the system in Great Britain, for instance. Sometimes both systems exist simultaneously.

What concerns me is that, once again, this administration seems to be acting in unseemly haste on another question of enormous importance, and my concern is heightened by what I've seen our government doing already in the field of healthcare - i.e., the Medicare/Medicaid programs and the VA system. Not good advertisements for the government, any of them.

We could deal with the uninsured - even, if necessary, on a temporary basis - by the government simply negotiating for private insurance contracts to cover those people. This would unquestionably be by far the most inexpensive thing to do in the near term, especially at a time when we're going so deeply into debt, and would give us time to assure ourselves that whatever we do in the long term is the right thing.
You have demonstrated why conservatives cannot post here. sm
Are you schizophrenic.  Your posts are some of the some inflammatory, hate-filled screed it has ever been my displeasure to read.  Wishing people to burn in hell?  Calling children of the president ugly and alcoholics?  THAT is debate.  You don't fool me.  I didn't say she COULDN'T come here. I said ther poster demonstrated why she would not want to.  Get a little insight into your bizarre behavior.
I'd like to see demonstrated ability to change
I really don't think much will change, no matter who the POTUS, when I see the way people treat each other with such utter lack of disrespect as human beings. And I mean this all over, not just in the political arena or here on this board. First major snag and even the ever-so-highly regarded Barack will be to blame and butt of all jokes just like every other president.
