THAT is the most insane statement I've ever heard!

How the heck can a baby born in this country to ILLEGAL parents be a legal citizen.  You're fine with that?  Makes me wonder if you are an American citizen.

What's sad is that she doesn't even realize how insane her statements are?

Well I've heard
that Castro wrote a column calling Obama "the most progressive presidential candidate" etc and also I've seen videos and pictures of Obama's campaign office with Che Chavez flags? I mean I know that some of it is republicans twisting words and what not, but I don't think it can ALL be refuted as that.

I've also seen some videos of other leaders endorsing Obama. I'll try to find them. Like I said I know some of them are probably fake, but I doubt all of them are. Sorry I can't name names right off the top of my head, I'll try to take some time to do some research and find exactly which ones have been talked about. I'm not a political whiz so I have to do a lot of research! :-D
What I've heard is
that McCain's first pick was Lieberman, but he was forced by the GOP into the pick of Sarah Palin.  I figure right about now he's sitting back and watching them self destruct.  Of course, the facts about all of this are not out yet.
Now I've heard it all!!!!! s/m
Does anyone besides me remember the 1960 elections???  Then it was anti-Catholic rhetoric and no one made any bones about it.  It was said that JFK was the antichrist, the pope would take over the world, he would be the ruination of this country....come to think of it pretty much like what we have going now except that it ended after the election.  I voted for Kennedy and I doubt I'm on my way to  hades because of it.  I also voted for Obama.
I've heard that also........... sm
I don't understand why Israel is all of a sudden Bush's fault.

The CV joints on my car need replacing. It's a Nissan, but I think I will just blame Bush for it anyway. Would make about as much sense.
I've heard other people say that...

I would only imagine that she's lapping up all the attention as well.  I have no faith she can run this country and I never thought he would have picked a woman.  Obama/Biden...  Looking better and better.

Oh and the pic of his shoes with holes just shows he's a hard worker and does not squander money in my opinion.  Also, some workers at my hubs place of employment purposefully wear holey shoes to show they need a raise.  If management says something about the holes in the shoes, they answer with when they get a raise; gotta eat first!  Maybe Obama really is for the working class!

Not interested, really... we've heard it all before
.
I've heard of that happening here too
in town.  Our house was broken into a few weeks ago.  Our food wasn't taken but a fairly good amount of cash which my husband had left on the dresser WAS taken.
I've heard that excuse before.
Who cares how we got here. What we need now are solutions. Iraq ring a bell? It certainly DOES matter how we got here and who was in charge when it happened.
I've never heard JM say "when" - sm
I've heard him say "if". However Obama continues to say in almost as many times as McCain says "My friends"

I'd like links from the people who say he always says "when"
They must've heard it on blogcaca
blogcaca has an amazing number of followers. See "Oh. My. GOD." below.

d
I've always heard people say...

..."If you don't like living in America, then leave."  I guess that option would no longer be open.  This all seems to be going on right in front of us.  Maybe that's one of the reasons we have U.S. troops stationed in the United States now, to "control" those of us who never agreed, voted or signed on to this "deal."

There might be no escape from the one-world government, but I did come upon one very unique way to leave this earth.

(To the MOON, Alice!)

This is the most ignorant cr@p I've ever heard
Why aren't you talking about the anchor babies born in the U.S.?  How can they be natural born citizens when there parents are illegal?  That is a much bigger problem to our economy than Obama's  birth certificate.  Use your brains...if you have one....Obama is an American citizen, his birth certificate is on the internet and when you're following these idjits that keep this stuff going, your mind isn't on the real problems of this country and that's what these radical groups who keep the ridiculous lawsuits going want you to do.
OMG, I've heard so many stories like this one
from my Canadian friends! I can't understand why anyone who knows how that system works would want to bring it to the US! If this is what we have to look forward to our country is in DEEP trouble!!!
Oh, yeah. We've heard that one
Did they reimburse the expenses for the $300 thousand "photo shoot" that scared the bejezus out of everyone in New York City?

Okay, here's a hint. The answer isn't "yes".
Most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

The only time I've heard Obama
talk about religion where it concerns POLICY is with the abortion issue.  In the 3rd debate he said he was pro-choice because he felt it was a moral issue, guided by religion, lack of religion, or whatever.  To me this means he is (unlike McCain) inclusive of the beliefs of ALL the people, not just some or those who have the same religious beliefs.
Isn't that the most absurd thing you've ever heard?

Now there's the best reason I've heard yet to vote

Waa, I'm Muslim, nobody likes meWaa, I have terrorist associations so nobody will vote for meWaa, I wanna take everyone's money and redistribute it evenly (that's like restarting Monopoly because you're losing)

Then, when I win, we can have a big pity party!!!!

FANTASTIC!! Best news I've heard all day. (nm)

I've heard no rude or bad words from Gourdie
Only from that nawnau
The best explanation I've heard thus far for economic crisis..(sm)
The Real Deal

So who is to blame? There's plenty of blame to go around, and it doesn't fasten only on one party or even mainly on what Washington did or didn't do. As The Economist magazine noted recently, the problem is one of "layered irresponsibility ... with hard-working homeowners and billionaire villains each playing a role." Here's a partial list of those alleged to be at fault:

  • The Federal Reserve, which slashed interest rates after the dot-com bubble burst, making credit cheap.

  • Home buyers, who took advantage of easy credit to bid up the prices of homes excessively.

  • Congress, which continues to support a mortgage tax deduction that gives consumers a tax incentive to buy more expensive houses.

  • Real estate agents, most of whom work for the sellers rather than the buyers and who earned higher commissions from selling more expensive homes.

  • The Clinton administration, which pushed for less stringent credit and downpayment requirements for working- and middle-class families.

  • Mortgage brokers, who offered less-credit-worthy home buyers subprime, adjustable rate loans with low initial payments, but exploding interest rates.

  • Former Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan, who in 2004, near the peak of the housing bubble, encouraged Americans to take out adjustable rate mortgages.

  • Wall Street firms, who paid too little attention to the quality of the risky loans that they bundled into Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS), and issued bonds using those securities as collateral.

  • The Bush administration, which failed to provide needed government oversight of the increasingly dicey mortgage-backed securities market.

  • An obscure accounting rule called mark-to-market, which can have the paradoxical result of making assets be worth less on paper than they are in reality during times of panic.

  • Collective delusion, or a belief on the part of all parties that home prices would keep rising forever, no matter how high or how fast they had already gone up.

The U.S. economy is enormously complicated. Screwing it up takes a great deal of cooperation. Claiming that a single piece of legislation was responsible for (or could have averted) the crisis is just political grandstanding. We have no advice to offer on how best to solve the financial crisis. But these sorts of partisan caricatures can only make the task more difficult.

Well, I've heard and read he's a pretty rough character
much less a peace prize candidate. In all seriousness, enlighten me as to what he's done to deserve a peace prize? I can only assume it's because of his socialistic practices that seem to now be a pre-requisite for being a peace prize candidate...
I've heard Chatty Cathy in several places on news.
No original thoughts.
I've heard that natural gas heating costs are expected to TRIPLE this winter!

I have gas heat, and so does my daughter.

Your mother is fortunate to have you and your sisters to help her.  Makes me worry about all the elderly people barely scraping by on Social Security who have no family.  I guess they and the other poor people are just considered to have no value and are disposable.  I guess someday I'll be disposable, as well.

I totally agree with what Putin said.  Of ALL the places in the world to force change upon, the Middle East is probably the worst one!  Change does have to come from within.  Their culture is so different from ours, and I believe we should respect all cultures that are different from ours.  Sometimes I wonder who would win an election in Iraq if Saddam was suddenly back on the ballot. When Bush debated Gore in 2000, Bush claimed to be against nation building (though he said Cheney was in favor of it, which leads me to believe that Cheney really IS running the administration, as has often been alleged).

I always watch closely when Putin and Bush have press conferences.  Putin should be called Pukin because he's always got this look of disgust on his face, as if he's about to run out of patience with Bush and his idiocy.

I remember when we first began to brag that the Cold War is over.  I always thought that was a stupid thing to say, because it's never over till it's over.  History will be the judge of that.  I often wondered how a country full of people who were accustomed to having their vital needs met by their government as a RIGHT, rather than a privilege, could possibly survive in the dog-eat-dog, sometimes unscrupulous atmosphere of capitalism.  As far as I know, Putin isn't all that enamored with capitalism, and I'm just waiting for Russia to once again become communistic or maybe socialistic.  I guess time will tell.

Immediate White House statement on Dr. Tiller - still no statement on

Having had at least three relevant opportunities to make a statement about the killing of an Army recruiter and wounding of another since this occurred on Monday, Obama has not said a single word about it - but a statement was forthcoming from him immediately concerning the killing of Dr. Tiller.

The media coverage of the two events has also been strikingly different.  Please note that the sympathies of the liberal cause provide a complete explanation of both of these phenomena.

More than passingly strange that they think we don't notice stuff like this, n'est-ce pas? Well, they'll discover their mistake soon enough.  The election cycle of 2010 is already starting up - and it isn't going to look anything like the cycle of 2008.

You are insane. SM

"Sometimes I think there isn't much difference between these people and the terrorists who attacked us and other countries.  They both exhibit signs of mental illness, a maniacal obsession with controlling what everyone believes, and they both promote hatred, violence and intolerance in the name of their respective gods.  About the only main difference I can see is that the terrorists, unfortunately, seem to be much more intelligent in their pursuit of their goals."

This is a glimpse into a very sick and demented mind.  There are two boards on here.  AG and Nan have chosen to stay off this one.  THEY took the higher road.  YOU, however, sit over here like Little Miss Muffett and pass judgement on people you are attacking. Amazing!  I never said I wouldn't come here and unless I attack you personally, which I have not (merely pointing out your delusions of grandeur and gross mental imposition) you are stuck with me because I can't believe that even some of the liberals HERE would put up with what you are saying.

Wow....that is just insane.

Why do people have to think like this?  Some black people would even turn on another black person if they thought one was catering to white people?  We are all human beings.  This is just really sad.

All I know is that I was shocked nothing was said about Obama when he said his grandma was a typical white person.  Now...if McCain had called a black person a typical black person....his career would be done and over.  Why the double standards?

It is insane.
But I think it is pretty common in border states. It is amazing, isn't it. I have not seen them go away the way you have, but it sure would be nice for LA to have emergency rooms again!
I think it is insane how

insurance companies handle things.  For example, my sister-in-law is pregnant and was due more than 2-3 weeks ago.  She had to ask permission from her insurance to be induced and they denied her.  This woman is in her 40s and should not be allowed to go 2-3 weeks over her due date and yet insurance didn't want to pay for an induction.

We pay the premiums.  If we pay our premiums, there is no reason why insurance companies shouldn't pay up when we need them to.  That is the problem.

To do away with insurance companies....I don't know.  I think you have a misconception about universal healthcare and you might want to look further into this.  If the government takes over health care costs, you think things are bad now.  You will have to wait longer for things.  We will lose some of our best doctors.  The government will not pay for elective things like knee replacements, etc.  If you have cancer and the government decides your treatment is too experimental or you don't warrant  treatment, they have pretty much already signed your death certificate.  Government controlled healthcare will be worse than the current insurance problems we have now.

Do things need to change in this area......yes.  However, let's make sure that we change it for the better.  Government controlled health care is not better.

This is just insane!
What next?  I mean...I don't see them going after people who are having superbowl parties or poker night, tupperware parties, Mary Kay parties, etc.  Why this Bible study?  If this had been a Muslim meeting, lesbian meeting, etc. and they were told they needed a permit to gather at someone's private house......OMG....the news media would be all over this and the ACLU would be involved, etc.  However, since this is a pastor having Bible study in his home, he is being attacked and told to get a permit?  This is just nuts.
it was an insane choice
I certainly do not want to wake up every morning in a country where such mind-boggling choices are foisted on us by the president out of the blue.
Are you totally insane?
How dumb can you be? Have you no sense at all?

Obama is a spoiled, conceited, "higher-than-thou," pompous patooti. He is so clueless to the problems of the real world that he can't see past the nose on his face. I feel sorry for you and others who think like you. I only hope America does not wind up having to pay for the Obama playground in our taxes and standing in the world.
Insane idea

Don't you think we'll have to pay the stimulus payments back?  Borrowed from.......China?

I just find it totally insane that
black people by the thousands worship the all mighty Obama because he is black....he is one of them.  They talk about white prejudice and the "white lies," etc.  Do they not realize that they are putting down part of Obama as well.  They are putting down his white heritage.  Granted, one look at the man and you wouldn't even think he had white heritage in him just going by the color of his skin, but still.  He doesn't speak ebonics.  He wasn't raised in the hood.  The man lived in Hawaii and Indonesia.  You would think they would truly want a black man who was born and raised in the hood, overcame all of that, turned his life around, got an education, and worked his way up.  Instead, they've got a half n half who was predominantly raised in Hawaii by white grandparents and went to an ivy league college.  LOL.  Does any one else see the irony in this?
Oh, I knew I was right. I could hear your insane cackle
I recognized it from when I transcribed for a loony bin.

Loser.
I would only consider myself totally insane if I voted for McCain/Palin!
How about you? By the way, no need to feel sorry for me, I live at the beach, have a loving husband, lots of friends, a good job, and a great life. I also look forward to a bright future for the United States with President Obama.
Please do not waste our time with lies and insane allegations! nm
xx
Yup, don't forget to include the opinions of the criminally insane as undeniable truth....nm

Can't chew gum. Would've if I could've.

Even got hypnotized. Supposedly guaranteed to quit. Lasted 5 hours. Thank heavens I never smoked anything stronger.

Sorry. That last statement should have been

RIGHT, but it was actually a statement that was
nm
What an odd statement
"God's will has been done"???

Whenever somebody gets what they want they always say it's "Gods will" or what "God wants". As though they know. Then as if to try to convince us it's true they will throw in a "I prayed and was shown a sign". Well I know a lot of people who are priests, biships, and very spiritual and religious people and they were praying for a different outcome. They were praying for McCain to win. So are you saying 50% of Americans praying for a different outcome all have a different God than yours who "answered your prayers"? Also I have found that when things don't work out they way they want they'll have a different answer (but usually the same canned answer).

There is good and evil in this world. I'm not saying Obama is either. Only he and his family know his religious viewpoints. This is the kind of conversation that is 1/2 religious 1/2 political. If your talking about our government (DC people) I would say that is the least likely place to find "God". Then if your going to go there you should say say "Allah" has spoken and wants him in the office, after all that is who the muslims pray to.

Yes things happen in the world. I think that's were that phrase "$hit happens" comes in.

You said all things happen in this world for the good of those that love the Lord. Does this include the parents who murder their children because God has told them to do so, or even just murder their children for no reason (like that lady in Florida). How about the senseless shootings, robberies, gang rapes, do you think all that happens for those becuase I'm sure those victims loved the Lord too. Oh what about 9-11 all those victims who died. I'm sure there were a lot who loved the Lord. Like I say I don't want to make this a religious message because that is for the faith board but you are mixing the two together and they are very different things.

My aunt does the same thing though. She will talk of something and then add in "I prayed about it and the lord told me this or that" I guess she's trying to put validity behind her statement but it has the opposite effect.

We all hope Obama becomes a great president and does good things for the country. That is the hope of any president elected. Nobody is saying he's going to do a bad job. We're all saying we hope he will do good, but we know about his history/background, associations, voting records, and inexperience, and there is a lot that is not sitting well with us. I believe we all hope to be pleasantly surprised but only time will tell and we will be keeping our eyes open just like we would do with any person elected.

I'm just trying to figure out the logic of this post and it makes no sense and is an insult to those of us who feel differently and "prayed" for a different outcome.
I have to wonder at your statement... sm
""Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country" used to hold a positive meaning in this country."

How does this apply when people like Peggy Johnson (or whatever her name was) proclaim on national tv that they are so glad they don't have to worry about paying their mortgage or putting gas in their cars? I wonder how people who are getting ready to quit their jobs and live off the government will react if they find out that the gravy train is being pulled by the engine of "serve your country?"

I would agree with you. America has gotten greedy and spiteful. I also feel they have gotten lazy, apathetic and complacent and depend on the government now more than ever to meet their needs instead of the other way around.
Your statement a few posts above that (SM)
liberalism is the problem with this country is BASHING.

If you want to bash Liberals - go do it on your Conservatives board.

I see you haven't changed. BTW, Nan, who in the world supposedly "invited you back" as you state below? Perhaps you were invited back to the Conservative board? LOL
A statement from Shrub!

Actually, I didn't think it was funny either when he made that statement as our troops were and are being maimed and dying for him, and he thought it was funny that "whoops, no WMDs!"  Rude indeed!!!!!

dumb statement
she gets what she deserves?  All the woman wants is to meet with the person who is supposed to be our servant, the person WE put into office.  That is not asking too much, in my opinion.  It is not like he is a king or dictator.  He is supposed to be working for US.  If he had met with her, she would have went home and none of this shooting guns, crashing into crosses, etc., would have happened.  He is the reason she is getting all this press coverage.  Gets what she deserves?  What a dumb statement. He should get what HE deserves, impeachment, a criminal trial and imprisonment for this illegal immoral war of his.
broad statement

And have you taken a poll of every democrat in the country as to whether they love or hate Phil?  These broad statements are not helping your credibility.

Not a broad statement at all.
And since you make broad statements all the time, that's a little disingenuous, don't you think?  I asked a question.  You didn't answer it.  How many politicians have you seen embrace Phil?  As far as credibilty, let's be perfectly frank.  I don't care if you find me credible and I am sure the same can be said for your feelings about me.  We are worlds apart in our thinking.  Thank God.
broad statement
I make broad statements all the time?  When, where?  LOL.  That in itself is a broad statement from you.  I make statements with facts to back them up, I post articles.  As far as how many politicals back Phil, who knows, who cares.  Is he running for office?  I must have missed it if he is.  He is a tax paying, charity giving, hard working adult who has opinions and ideas and beliefs on how our country should go and I applaud him for speaking out, with his own independent ideas.  As far as your and mine ideas?  Sure they are different.  I dont thank god for that..Frankly, I dont think god has anything to do with that.  We are free thinking human beings (at least I am..are you?) and it is great that you have your ideas and I have mine.  That is what this country was built on..differing opinions.  Heaven help us all if this country ever becomes one thought and one opinion..that is called a dictatorship.  I dont know about you but I could never live under that situation..So, long live your opinion and long live mine and never the two shall meet.
true statement
This statement shows that architects of war and politicians, they know just how to manipulate the nonpolitical masses and do it well.
