Thank you, Kaydie, for regarding this post the way it was intended:  for the humor.  Once I realized what I was doing with the channel surfing, I thought this could wind up to be funny, so I started jotting notes as I channel surfed.  I had NO intention of falling asleep, believe me!  I was going to somehow tie this all into Hillary's speech if I could.  Instead, I fell asleep and not for two hours.  It was almost TEN hours.  (The only thing that didn't really happen was the dream; I made that all up.  However, the time I finally woke up was true, and I'm still on this cycle!)

But thanks again for your kind post.  Although I agree with your sentiments about Hillary, I thought it was time for a little humor to hopefully make people smile or laugh, and then maybe we could all start to get along with each other again.

Although the part about Xanax was true, maybe I shouldn't have been so "quippy" when mentioning it.  It can be and is a dangerous drug.  I'm prescribed it on a timed basis, but I don't take it that way; I only take it when I feel I need it.  The prescription always lasts longer than it should because of the way I take it.  (I've had six hospitalizations for chronic pancreatitis in the last couple of years, and I was finally diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (in October of 2007 at age 54), which is the cause for my pancreatitis.  I'm being treated for this at the National Jewish Medical Center in Denver, who are experts in adult-diagnosed cystic fibrosis.  They have prescribed my medications for pain and anxiety.  (My pancreas is basically in the process of cannibalizing itself, and as it does, it's very painful.)  However, once it's finished destroying itself, the pain should subside, and then I can look forward to developing diabetes.  I also was prescribed daily breathing treatments.  Although my lung involvement now is minimal (I can't even really tell), my doctor said that, barring pancreatic cancer (for which I'm at increased risk), my death will be from respiratory complications, which will get worse, and nobody can stop it.

Maybe the intended humor of my post was missed by some, but I hope anyone reading this post will learn something:  CF can be diagnosed at any age.  It's usually known to occur in babies and toddlers, and these poor children die.  I was born with this and never knew it; I've lived a relatively healthy life for which I am very grateful.

If you or anyone you know suddenly develops "idiopathic" GI complaints that can't be explained and become chronic -- especially if this person is older -- consider in the back of your mind that cystic fibrosis might be causing it.  Mine came in the form of pancreatitis, but I believe other areas of the gastrointestinal system are also susceptible, as well.  In my opinion, this isn't publicized enough.  It took almost two years for the "expert" to figure out my case and perform the confirmatory DNA testing.

(Didn't mean for this to turn into a "downer," but if only one person learns something new about cystic fibrosis from this post, it will be worth it to me.)

Again, thank you so much for your comments, and I hear ya about the grilled peach salad.    LOL!!
