over 15 years IF Congress adhered to strict spending limits and no additional Federal programs were added. When did (or would) ANY Congress adhere to strict spending limits with no additional Federal programs?I didn't forget anything.

But the fact is...during the first 6 years of the Bush administration, the economy was as good as it had been when Clinton was president, in fact, the unemployment rate was lower. In the last year since the Dems have had control of congress...where all the decisions controlling the economy are made...it has gone downhill. We have been in Iraq for several years...not just this year, so to say that Iraq is affecting those numbers suddenly now...I don't see that.

Yes, we have borrowed from other countries. But under which administration did that start? We have been borrowing from other countries since the 80's. George Bush did not invent borrowing from other countries.
