MJF. I don't know whether he took medication or not but the onus is not on him. If he wishes to show how devastating the disease is by not taking the medication, so what. It is not manipulative and he has admitted doing this many times so those who don't know can see what it looks like, his particular type, the constant moving rather than the stoniness seen in most older folks. However, most people know what Parkinson's looks like and most of us have seen MJF deteriorate over the years.  The onus is on Rush who was flailing around himself, ridiculing MJF, being accusatory, derogatory...the usual I guess. Why does anyone care about campaign ads anyway. If you can have you mind changed by a television ad you may not be smart enough to vote.  I saw this as Rush being more than just mean-spirited, he was actually cruel in his words and depiction but then that's where he makes the big money and as I always say, it's all about money all the time.  Someone does need to remind him that when he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar, most of us he so despises gave him the benefit of the doubt first and then just let it go...he's just another guy who got caught up in something he couldn't handle...it's a shame he can't see his way clear to cut someone else he does not agree with some slack.
