I march to  my own drum.  Given a subject that interests me I look for all the facts I can find and then I analyze whatever and decide what is more likely than not to be true and  make my own decisions.  Listening to all sides of an argument usually gives one a pretty good sense of what is likely true.  As for the talk shows, I don't care what they think, if they have a person involved in whatever controversy (i.e. Obama during the election) then I pay attention to what comes out of that person's mouth.  I also pay attention to body language.  Has anyone noticed Bush blinks very rapidly when he is angry? or lying?  That's just an example.
