Trying to lump the 2 wars into one and call Obama a liar is S-P-I-N

Unless you are really ignorant and do not realize that Iraq and Afghanistan are 2 separate countries. (The middle east......Obama was going to bring our troops home! Now he's sending 17,000 troops to Afghanistan! He lied!) You try to incite "war" against Obama based on your inability to comprehend what you read and what you don't remember..........sounds like BS to me.

You have a lot of room to call someone else a liar...
I saved the conversations, so I know the truth and that is what is important. You have lied so long under so many monikers to so many people you wouldn't know the truth if it bit you.

I did not lie about the bashing thing. I am not bashing you and I never said you email stalked me or threatened me, that was another poster. However, I WAS emailed in nasty, nasty terms when I was silly enough to give someone from this board my email address. It could have been you under still another moniker. I don't know that to be a fact.

Geezzz...talk about the pot calling the kettle black. You lied about being Taiga and Teddy until you slipped up yourself, and I have those conversations saved. I don't know if they are in the archives or not, as many posts were deleted, but I have them...I know you, Taiga/Teddy, in all your chameleon monikers and personalities...and you KNOW I do.

As you said...WHATEVER. lol.
Oh, before you call me a liar. I did respond to the flat tax,
but I brought my responses back here.
Truth hurts, don't it? Hey, whenever attacked, call someone a liar.
Sez a lot about you.

Alleged link between 9/11 and Iraq

Examination of pre-war intelligence claims by Bush administration

MSNBC

Updated: 6:51 p.m. ET Nov. 11, 2005

David Shuster

MSNBC Correspondent

Just days after the 9/11 attacks, Vice President Cheney, on “Meet The Press,” said the response should be aimed at Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda terror organization not Saddam Hussein's Iraq.

When asked if any evidence connected the Iraqis to the operation, Cheney said, no.

But during that same time period, according to Bob Woodward's book, Bush At War, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld was pushing for military strikes on Iraq and during cabinet meetings Cheney, expressed deep concern about Saddam and wouldn't rule out going after Iraq at some point.

That point started to come 11 months later, just before the first anniversary of 9/11.

The president and vice president had decided to redirect their war on terror to Baghdad.  So, with the help of the newly-formed White House Iraq group, which consisted of top officials and strategists, the selling of a war on Iraq began and the administration's rhetoric about Saddam changed.

On September 8, 2002, not only did White House hawks tell The New York Times for a front page exclusive that Saddam was building a nuclear weapon, five administration officials also went on the Sunday television shows that day to repeat the charge.

He is, in fact actively and aggressively seeking to acquire nuclear weapons, Cheney told Tim Russert on “Meet The Press.

But the White House started claiming that Iraq and the group responsible for 9/11 were one in the same.

The war on terror, you can't distinguish between al Qaeda and Saddam when you talk about the war on terror, said Bush on September 25, 2002.

We've learned that Iraq has trained al Qaeda members in bomb-making and poisons and deadly gases, said Bush a few days later on October 7.  He's a threat because he is dealing with Al-Qaeda.

In pushing the Saddam-Iraq-9/11 connection, both the president and the vice president made two crucial claims.  First, they alleged there had been a 1994 meeting in the Sudan between Osama bin Laden and an Iraqi intelligence official.

After the Iraq war began, however, the 9/11 Commission was formed and reported that while Osama bin Laden may have requested Iraqi help, Iraq apparently never responded.

The other crucial pre-war White House claim was that 9/11 hijacker Mohammed Atta met with a senior Iraqi intelligence official in the Czech republic in April 2001.

Cheney stated, It's been pretty well confirmed that he did go to Prague and he did meet with a Senior official of the Iraqi intelligence service.

Confirmed or unconfirmed by Vice President Cheney the 9/11 Commission said, We do not believe such a meeting occurred.  Why?  Because cell phone records from the time show Atta in the United States.

None the less, the White House strategy worked.  In March of 2003, one poll found 45 percent of Americans believed Saddam Hussein was personally involved in 9/11.

On the eve of the Iraq war, the White House sent a letter to Congress telling lawmakers that force was authorized against those who, aided the 9/11 attacks.

Yet the Bush administration continues to say it never claimed Iraq was linked to 9/11.

I think I made it very clear that we have never made that claim, White House Press Secretary McClellan repeated on Sept. 17, 2003.

The brutal irony is that while implications, innuendo, or false claims if you will about a 9/11 connection helped take us into Iraq.  The Iraqi war itself has created a real al-Qaeda/Iraq link that may keep us from getting out.

You're a liar. GT didn't curse. You're a filthy liar, but you are a gift from God.
God sent you here to as a constant reminder of the kind of person I DON'T want to be and if I ever have a bad day when I feel temporarily stupid, all I have to do is read your posts, and I realize there are those out there who are much worse off than I am and for them it's not temporary.
Please don't lump us all together
Not all Rebuplicans think of themselves as better than everyone else. I happen to be a Republican with some liberal views, but I'm certainly not a racist or an elitist and am far from thinking I'm better than everyone else. I have an open mind when it comes to politics and never vote for someone just because they are Republican - far from, actually, as last year I voted for a Democrat governor and a Democrat senator. So plese do not generalize - it really offends those of us who really try to get the facts and not get drawn into the sludge-fest.
I just don't think you can lump

Who knows if the republicans are to blame?  Some people have credit cards that they did try and save but since the economy stinks and health insurance does not cover what it should, they've been forced to use credit and maybe think that getting a second job or working overtime could play for that.  But, please do not say that because you are not one of those that does not have credit card debt, that you somehow made better choices.

Credit cards are just as much a part of this society crisis as these large corporations and mortgage companies delving out mortgages like it's no big deal, and then what happens when the mortgagee can't pay????  They wind up homeless.

Let's keep it here in the USA.  We can help out when we can, but darn it we need it here for education, healthcare, and equal housing (as Biden put it), we didn't hear anything about those issues at the RNC.

I've read here on the internet for what it is worth about how Sarah Palin will put her special needs son out there and work for this cause, which is great, but let's work for all children whether they be special needs (that's obvious) or special needs because their Dad walked out because he got so depressed that he couldn't support his family and took to the "bottle."  Let's help the children that their parents lost their good paying jobs because the company offshored.  JMO.

I really am not trying to lump....(sm)

all pubs in with the extremists.  And you're right, there are many pubs that don't fall into that category.  However, when they start taking up for extremists (and not all, by any means did), they put themselves into that category.

FYI:  Those southern democrats who started the KKK were what were known as "dixicrats," who eventually turned into the republican party.

When Do You Think PE Obama Will Call On

I was listening to Ed Schultz on the radio and he was laughing about how this is the 5th time during a press conference Fox News has been shut out from asking a question!

The right won't be able to squawk much, Pres Bush used to have annual meetings with rightie leaning media only - I know it's wrong - but I would love it if Pres Obama did the same thing w/liberal/progressive media and shut out the the righties....well at just least once!

I cannot and will not lump all Dems together...
however, several of the group who post here post like this. I don't understand it, because it doesn't follow what I thought democrats were all about. I am not a Republican by the way...am an Independent. I don't owe any party my vote...but I have Democrats in my family and they do not speak like this...

But, I could not say most Dems treat people this way. Just some of these do. :)
I just saw him on camera - there is no lump
He does have a set of jowls. Jowls are areas of fullness along the jawline that tend to increase with age.
Please don't lump all us liberals together

I don't like Ann Coulter but not for any of the reasons you said.  I don't like her because I think she uses fear mongering tactics to get her point across and as she proved with the comment about Michelle Obama, she is unable to do it without resorting to name calling.  That doesn't speak to any level of intelligence for me.

I don't like any of the pundits who are either so far right or far left that they are unable to see any other viewpoint but their own.  Anyone like that is just scary to me.

Excuse me? I would hardly call Obama
a far-liberal! I really believe that you are doing far better on the 'Word help board', that's where you belong.
So what's that giant lump on his left jaw?

Then Obama should be honest and call it welfare.
nm
Geez. Suppose Barack Obama gets that 3:00 call...
and can't find Joe Biden?

Lord love a duck.
Iraq did not attack America, as much as you want to lump it all in one pot - they didn't...sm
It's that grasping at straws logic I don't understand fully. First though, I really enjoyed your post and I respect your point of view.

You say that we were not attacked but yet our troops were deployed all over the world under Clinton. Newsflash, they still are under Bush, so what's the point? That has been America's role since before Clinton - World Police. Clinton didn't ask for the role, it was already there. Second, we did not invade and occupy Bosnia or any other country under Clinton if I remember correctly. We helped people who were being slaughtered AT THE TIME. How could YOU support Iraq and not Bosnia? Matter of fact, I would have like to see Clinton do more, especially in Rwanda.

The thing about our *invasion and occupation* of Iraq is that they did not attack us on 911. Their country was stable when we attacked them. As far as I know, the mass murders and killings were not going on, there was not WMD, the sanctions were working. They were not at war among themselves. We had no right or reason to intervene this way. Sure, the people were oppresed (so are many other countries) but they weren't a terrorist breeding ground either. Don't get me wrong, I hope we or they are able to have stability in Iraq and soon, but I have many reservations that this will come to pass anytime soon.

You brought up something interesting though when you said the Al Qaeda terrorist organization is now down to 17,000?? I'm curious to know how many there were to start with? It's hard to see this as progress if we don't know how many there were to begin with.

Do you think men don't come back from all wars changed? SM

What war is worth fighting for?  Explain that to me.  During World War II, ten times the men that have died in Iraq in two years died in one day.  How many is too many?  What is worth fighting for?

If these wars go on much longer we will need to reinstitue

wars are part of life.
Sometimes they cannot be avoided. 99.9% of pregnancies can be avoided. Unwanted babies can be adopted. There is absolutely no comparison between loss of life in war and killing the unborn. your attitude is pathetic.
fake wars? you are delusional.
x
I will be so glad when the culture wars are over
Self-rightous yuppies craming their radical ideas down everyone's throat. Church law versus the bible. They make this stuff up as they go along.
Get off the Bush's wars thing....
First of all, Congress put us there, both parties, and your hero has said we belong in Afghanistan and has stepped that one up since he has been in office. There is your inconvenient truth.

Second of all, you again missed the BIG point. If he is concerned about us here, then let him follow through with his "immediate withdrawal" promise and bring home members of the National Guard. There is a reason why a national force should be STATE controlled, not controlled at the Federal level. Posse comitatus was written for a reason...and the way to get around that is to make it a "police" force and not a military force. I cannot BELIEVE that a thinking person would even ENTERTAIN the thought that a national police force was a good thing. Have you been watching the Iranian Republican Guard lately? THAT is a national police force. And you want something like THAT in this country? COmpletely controllable by ONE man? You ARE kidding, RIGHT????
Most wars in our history have been started by Democrats. sm
Thus, your hypothesis is an empty one.
I do not support unjust wars, and I am not ashamed to say so!
Do you know many billions of dollars have been wasted in Iraq? Our men and women do not belong there, and I believe their time would be better spent doing something constructive in this country rather than killing people in other countries.
It will save money by not having to support TWO wars....
That same old BS - tax and spend democrats..........it takes money to make money....I suppose we could just sit here and do NOTHING......that was working, wasn't it?
Thanks...glad you could see it for what it was. Star Wars, pure and simple...nm

Despite your attempt at spin - Afghan and Iraq are 2 different wars.....nm

Former Head of Star Wars: Cheney Main 9/11 Suspect
Former Head Of Star Wars Program Says Cheney Main 9/11 Suspect
Official version of events a conspiracy theory, says drills were cover for attacks

Paul Joseph Watson & Alex Jones/Prison Planet.com | April 4 2006

The former head of the Star Wars missile defense program under Presidents Ford and Carter has gone public to say that the official version of 9/11 is a conspiracy theory and his main suspect for the architect of the attack is Vice President Dick Cheney.

Dr. Robert M. Bowman, Lt. Col., USAF, ret. flew 101 combat missions in Vietnam. He is the recipient of the Eisenhower Medal, the George F. Kennan Peace Prize, the President’s Medal of Veterans for Peace, the Society of Military Engineers Gold Medal (twice), six Air Medals, and dozens of other awards and honors. His Ph.D. is in Aeronautics and Nuclear Engineering from Caltech. He chaired 8 major international conferences, and is one of the country’s foremost experts on National Security.

Bowman worked secretly for the US government on the Star Wars project and was the first to coin the very term in a 1977 secret memo. After Bowman realized that the program was only ever intended to be used as an aggressive and not defensive tool, as part of a plan to initiate a nuclear war with the Soviets, he left the program and campaigned against it.

In an interview with The Alex Jones Show aired nationally on the GCN Radio Network, Bowman (pictured below) stated that at the bare minimum if Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda were involved in 9/11 then the government stood down and allowed the attacks to happen. He said it is plausible that the entire chain of military command were unaware of what was taking place and were used as tools by the people pulling the strings behind the attack.

Bowman outlined how the drills on the morning of 9/11 that simulated planes crashing into buildings on the east coast were used as a cover to dupe unwitting air defense personnel into not responding quickly enough to stop the attack.

The exercises that went on that morning simulating the exact kind of thing that was happening so confused the people in the FAA and NORAD....that they didn't they didn't know what was real and what was part of the exercise, said Bowman

I think the people who planned and carried out those exercises, they're the ones that should be the object of investigation.

Asked if he could name a prime suspect who was the likely architect behind the attacks, Bowman stated, If I had to narrow it down to one person....I think my prime suspect would be Dick Cheney.

Bowman said that privately his military fighter pilot peers and colleagues did not disagree with his sentiments about the real story behind 9/11.

Bowman agreed that the US was in danger of slipping into a dictatorship and stated, I think there's been nothing closer to fascism than what we've seen lately from this government.

Bowman slammed the Patriot Act as having, Done more to destroy the rights of Americans than all of our enemies combined.

Bowman trashed the 9/11 Commission as a politically motivated cover-up with abounding conflicts of interest, charging, The 9/11 Commission omitted anything that might be the least bit suspicious or embarrassing or in any way detract from the official conspiracy so it was a total whitewash.

There needs to be a true investigation, not the kind of sham investigations we have had with the 9/11 omission and all the rest of that junk, said Bowman.

Asked if the perpetrators of 9/11 were preparing to stage another false-flag attack to reinvigorate their agenda Bowman agreed that, I can see that and I hope they can't pull it off, I hope they are prevented from pulling it off but I know darn good and well they'd like to have another one.

A mainstay of the attack pieces against Charlie Sheen have been that he is not credible enough to speak on the topic of 9/11. These charges are ridiculed by the fact that Sheen is an expert on 9/11 who spends hours a day meticulously researching the topic, something that the attack dogs have failed to do, aiming their comments solely at Sheen's personal life and ignoring his invitation to challenge him on the facts.

In addition, from the very start we have put forth eminently credible individuals only for them to be ignored by the establishment media. Physics Professors, former White House advisors and CIA analysts, the father of Reaganomics, German Defense Ministers and Bush's former Secretary of the Treasury, have all gone public on 9/11 but have been uniformly ignored by the majority of the establishment press.

Will Robert Bowman also be blackballed as the mainstream continue to misrepresent the 9/11 truth movement as an occupation of the fringe minority?

Bowman is currently running for Congress in Florida's 15th District.

Wanna revist the Romney/McCain primary wars?
Then he was "honored" to share speeching spotlight with Cindy and SP at RNC. Did he lie? Which time? SP's ebay claim was presented to the entire nation as a feather in her fiscal responsibility cap. This flies in the face of information found on this most interesting link, authored by a Wasilla woman who has personally known SP since 1992. http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/kilkenny.asp
It was a Star Wars reference......you're the one that injected racism. nm

Call me what you want, just don't call me late for dinner. LOL....
GP, I like your sense of humor.
You call it hysteria, some call it concern for the
nm
I did not intentionally call Obama "it." I'm not sure why I typed "it"
but I certainly meant "he."
You are a liar. SM
I'm glad to say it and it is true.  As far as Iraq, of course, you twisted that all out of context.  Lurker asked if I would go to Iraq to help rebuild and I said yes, if I could I would, but please don't tell the truth and continue to twist because you are twisted.  Now, that felt good to FINALLY call you a liar.   You have used that word with every conservative poster and we are all pretty darn sick of it.
Liar.

Liar?
A conservative calling someone a liar?  Pot-kettle-black
Once a liar, always a liar!!!!
.
Liar, liar

Politicians lie.  Is everyone just figuring that out?  Why get into an argument over who's lying.  Just tell me what you're going to do for me, how I'm supposed to pay my mortgage when you keep sending my job overseas, how I'm supposed to send my kids to college when you keep sending my job overseas, how I'm supposed to pay these ridiculous prices for gas when you keep sending my job overseas.

The first guy that can do that without mincing words and blaming everything on the other gets my vote.  I don't care what color you are, whether you screwed around on your wife, who you have in your back pocket, whether your running mate is an old fart or a woman.

GW is a liar.........
So I guess that makes him a fake, too. WMDs, he really gave a rat's about Katrina, billions of dollars just "vanished." Harriet Myers for supreme court??? LOLOLOLOLOL - at least Obama isn't a freaking moron!
What a liar!

President Obama gave a speech in Illinois saying that if we pass this stimulus bill that the CEO of Caterpillar promised to hire back employees.  After Obama's speech, the CEO of Caterpillar got up and said that he just wanted to clarify that whether or not the stimulus package passes, they will continue to lay off people for some time and this hire back will be further in the future and I'm sure that means if this package actually works.....which it won't.

I'm sorry people but this stimulus will not work.  Obama promised to look out for the middle  class and the low class.  So far, he is doing nothing but helping the low class and he is going to crush us middle class folk.  The rich will survive but it will be the middle class that suffers.....once again.

If a certain poster is a liar...
(or if anyone is, from the president right on down)...and of course this is fully documented and there is no question about it...and then they ask us to believe a claim of high personal integrity...well, er, that's asking a little too much. One has to wonder, do they believe their own delusions? Do they really think the house of cards is never going to crash down? Or do they just want us to think it?

Personally I prefer a far less complicated arrangement. You intentionally lie, you are bad and no one should respect you anymore until you learn how to tell the truth.
I don't appreciate you calling me a liar
and neocons liars in general (BTW, I'm not a neocon), and I refuse to discuss the gross inaccuracies in the article above with a person who thinks we're all liars. It's blatant waste of time.
Again with the liar. Sheesh is right. NM

Would a liar know the truth if they saw it? sm
Nahhhhhhhh....I don't think so.  Besides, you continue to skew things.  Some of us know that.  You aren't fooling anyone.
