In Reply to: Demonization of Bush - anon

Need to brush up on your history. The words "regime change" referring to South Viet Nam came up during the Kennedy presidency, and he did escalate during his presidency...look it up. "Regime change" sound familiar? Clinton also brought it up regarding Iraq during his Presidency. Look that up also. He said on TV that Iraq had WMD. Look that up too. Richard Clarke was on all board for WMD in Iraq THEN. Might want to look that up too.

About demonization of Johnson...didn't hear a lot of Democrats demonizing him. That's what I mean...they can see the splinter in the other guy's eye but can't see the timber in their own.

Kennedy DID NOT HAVE TO LIE...here we go. Geez. Bush did not lie. If there was lying done it was on te part of intelligence communities all over the world when they said there was WMD in Iraq. Your buddy on your list there, Richard Clarke, said the SAME THING when Clinton was President. When Bush became President, all of a sudden the WMD disappeared. Wow. Imagine that. The Senate Intelligence Committee got the same intelligence reports Bush got...they believed it too, enough to send us to war. Now they want to whine and say Bush lied. What a load of .... stuff. Let's be fair here. I am not a Bush fan, but...let's be fair here.

Take a look at the authors on your book list. Now there are some real nonpartisan folks who don't have an agenda and I should believe a word they say? Was Scott McLellan lying the whole time he was press secretary and only NOW wants to tell the truth...I don't think so. He wanted to write a book to make money and what makes money these days? Books that bash Bush. And frankly I have no time for someone who wants to trash the very person he lauded for years for a buck. That tells me all I need to know about Scott McLellan.

Nearly every person on this list of books had the same agenda...it's called making money. Whether you are lying or telling the truth...THAT is inconsequential to the goal.

Y'now, anon, the President can't really do a whole lot without Congress. He sure can't send troops to war without Congressional OK. So, each one of them should hang their heads in shame as well, but the thing is...no one hates Congress the way they hate George Bush. And it is an irrational hatred. The idea that one lone man could be responsible for all the ills in this country is ludicrous. It just doesn't work that way. But some people just need to blame somebody...

I know one thing....I shudder to think what would have happened if Teresa's husband had been President on 9-11.

I just hate all blame game on both sides. Congress, if they believe going to Iraq was wrong, they just need to say so...yeah, we screwed up. Not Bush lied to us. How juvenile is that, and how juvenile is it to jump on that bandwagon when people know better....how I hate politics. lol.

Personally, during the debates, I think they should BOTH (the candidates) be attached to a lie detector with the graph shown in a picture-in-picture. Now THAT would be interesting, especially when the question was: Now is that what you REALLY think? lol. Sigh.
