Well, you know

people say he is a friend of the media....I see it just the opposite.  I'm an avid fan of Lou Dobbs, who usually is pretty unbiased.  Well, several months back, I forget what it was about but in reference to Obama he said and I quote, "stick a fork in him,  he's done with me."  Lately I seem to think that he is getting pretty biased in favor of McCain.  I enjoy the commentators, except I cannot STAND Bill O'Reilly, I think he's a dufus so I don't ever watch him.  Mostly I watch CNN.  Larry King I've always thought favored Republicans but during this campaign he seems to be pretty unbiased.

About Wright.  I know the question was asked and I know Obama answered but I can't get past that church's website.  I am neither Democrat nor Republican although I think I lean a bit toward the Democrats side.  Being an honest person, I will admit that while I am not racist I believed and still believe that Michelle is, I am not sure about her husband.  Because of this I started out more favoring McCain as the lesser of the evils, probably if I'm totally honest, because of his military service.  Then he started bashing Obama and it got progressively worse.  Then he selected Palin as his running mate.  I am not impressed with her record and I was not impressed with her speech at the convention, although I apparently disagreed with the majority.  I didn't and don't  like her and called her an airhead (and still do).  I particularly was not impressed with her "soccer mom," "mom to a special needs child," "I'm just like the rest of you" good old redneck girl presentation.  I am sorry but we do not need a soccer mom for president.  We do need a president who is concerned for ALL children not just special needs kids.  And while I hope I am a good old redneck girl myself and I use much of the same lingo that she uses, I am not running for president and when I am in a situation where it requires a display of  some level of intelligence, I leave my hillbilly dialect at home.  Example:  At the present time I am working on a political maneuver myself in which I am speaking with our Senator as well as State officials regarding the restoration of our historic mill project.  In fact, I am chairing a meeting at which some of these officials will be present on the 14th and trust me, I will not be saying "doggone it" or "goshdang it" as I do in my everyday speech.  There is a time and a place for everything and one would hope that when running for the highest office in the land, a candidate would put the most intelligent foot forward.  She has not done that for me.

When Palin joined McCain, all I hear them talk about is "scare" stories about Obama but nothing with a shred of proof behind it. Nothing about how they will accomplish what they say they will accomplish.  Obama does a far better job of that.    Am I the only independent who has a problem with preacher Wright and his wild teaching?  I hope not.  HOWEVER, how is it that no one is talking about that?  Not McCain, not Palin, not in the media, not on this board, not among the people I talk to every day.  Why?  Am I the only one who has a problem with Black Power?  Before someone jumps on me, I  have just as much of a problem, and maybe even a bigger one with White Supremists or "skinheads."

Now, what I want to know is when McCain and Palin and their supporters as well as the news commentators or whatever you call them, rail about Ayers and I could not care less about that old worn out hippie, why are they silent about Wright? Has everyone become so "politically correct" that one can't ask an honest, and what I hope is an intelligent question without being politically incorrect?  I don't give a big white hairy rat's arse about p.c., in fact I try to be as un-p.c. as I possibly can!

Soooooo I don't blame Obama for not talking about Wright because he is not being asked.  Why?  Were it not for that issue I would be out campaigning for Obama as I like what he SAYS.  McCain and Palin just so turn me off that I could not possibly cast a vote for them but we don't need a Black Power president any more than we need a skinhead president.  I am just very troubled by this.  Still, there is not a snowball's chance that I'll change my mind and vote for McCain/Palin.

Sorry for the rambling, I'm overcome with insomnia lately.  Maybe it is because I am so troubled about the condition of our country and I don't see it gettig better anytime soon.  I know my ticket to eternity is paid for but in the meantime we have to live here on this earth.
